“Boycott” a church? Weird.

I like yoga. All most yoga instructors say at the end is "namaste," which means "I bow to the divine in you." Hardly threatening to my faith. I've never had an actual Hindu however. They may take things further.

They also banned sex,
because it leads to dancing.

Yoga does have value. Hillary does it. Helped her survive all those times they threw her in the back of the van during her campaign.

I’m an Atheist, love yoga...love Christmas too. By the way, yoga in Sanskrit means to yoke. Yoga teaches you to home the mind so you can focus on the ultimate truth.

Not recommended, yoga could invite unfriendly spirits into your body. Its derived from Hindu worship. The word “Yoga” derived from the Sanskrit, “to put one self under a yoke, or to seek shelter from a protective power.” Reference “Occult ABC”, Kurt Koch, Kregel Publications.

Bulldookie

There is Christian yoga all over the south

My wife goes four to five days a week

And you can attend a regular yoga and hear absolutely nothing beyond breathing and letting go crap

And of course the cycles of yoga poses or stations I think they call them

Yoga is a series of movements and positions interspersed with breathing and rest poses with encouragement from the teacher and background music usually meditative but not always

Sometimes is loud modern rock

My wife prefers Depeche Mode for her yoga music

There are mainline churches here with Christian governed yoga

When we travel she gets her yoga where she can....and to my knowledge she’s never ever ever been proselytize with Hindu dogma

Breathe in relax your diaphragm is not Hindu scripture

I’ll wager somewhere there are the kinds of yoga studios you fear but I’ve never seen them

In 25 years of watching my wife who is a near master of it...she doesn’t have strong shoulders and head stands are hard for her but boy she is incredible at it

There’s a video here of a 95 year Indio English woman in New York who still teaches and does it seriously

Yoga is amazing truly amazing on a woman’s body

I’m very glad she does it and her soul is fine...probably safer than my lifetime as a hellion

Some brands of yogurt don't even bother to try to hide their connection to false gods...like this brand:

Instead of using that product, churches should begin to use holier products, like some of these:

What's that you say? . . . . Oh. . . . . Never mind!

“The church is correct - yoga is a Hindu practice. “

True. It was injected into our culture and schools on purpose for New Age irrational religion. You can never dispose of a belief system like Christianity without replacing it with something else. Nietzsche explained that huge fact which led to Stalin and Mao, Hitler and Pot, etc.

We are conditioning our children to become gods, like Mormonism-—and teach them that “Hate” is evil. Well, as ALL good Christians KNOW—there is a place for righteous anger. You direct ALL your passions to the good—you don’t suppress them like in Asian cultures which is dehumanization.

For return to the Old World pagan Order (the misnamed NWO), you need to erase the rational worldview of Christianity (Natural Law/Objective Truth, One God) for the paganism of old, with lots of irrational vile gods and radical egalitarianism where self is totally annihilated for One Mind (collective) worldview. No free will, no ability to have agency or identity apart from the collective. Socialism, communism, progressivism, yoga is to destroy the individual for the collective where anyone who thinks with a different worldview will be eliminated some way. The total annihilation of self for One Mind Think.

Our Constitution is about INDIVIDUAL Natural Rights from the ONLY God—Christian one. That is the basis of our Rule of Law which is never Rule of Man, like it is now. We have discarded our legal system for satanism (Vice System) where people can be their own gods (moral relativism) and discard the Bible, which will create total chaos until the few psychopathic sodomites will clamp down like Mao and Pot and Stalin and Lenin, and Hitler, etc.

Removing Right Reason and Individualism will collapse Western Civilization and the Marxists know that, and so they have been Red Pilling our children on purpose to destroy the Christian Worldview totally. Hyper-sexualization of the culture has helped considerably to create emotionally unhealthy children so they are easily controlled and emasculated and are embedded with dependency on the State.

L I’ll B. I studied world religions in college and studied Hindu, but never knew Yogi was Hindu. All I knew was that he slept till noon, but before it was dark, had every picnic basket in Jellystone park.

from “Occult ABC”:
All Christians who are allowing themselves unsuspectingly to be led astray into yoga should take note of Galatians 5:1, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled with the yoke of bondage.””

The church is correct - yoga is a Hindu practice.

So is vegetarianism.

Much ado about nothing, I think. Standing on your head isn't going to convert you. Or anyone.

That said, don't do yoga. It can wreck your neck, back and hip joints and send you to the hospital if not practiced correctly. No westerner does it correctly. For one thing, we grew up sitting in chairs, Hindus sat cross-legged on the ground.

Ok, I'll bite. All I know about yoga is that it looks pretty silly except when done by young women in tight outfits. So I ain't pretending to any expertise. I may be terribly naïve, but yoga stripped to its essentials has always seemed to me to be a form of meditation, which is a common practice in many religions, including Christianity.

I imagine that yoga is taught and practiced in many ways, including some that are Hindu-ish, which is probably a good marketing gimmick in communities where a lot of people want to be trendy and "different," as long as they can be different in lockstep with everyone else.

That said, I'm not aware that there is any Official Script that you have to repeat to do yoga. Repeating a mantra as an aid to inducing a sense of calm and dissociation from bodily sensations? Isn't that what rosary beads are all about? Why can't you do Christian yoga, non-denominational yoga, Jewish yoga, or anything else? Change the word yoga if you want, and just call it meditation.

Pastor quickly explained it. Those poses and rituals are to open portals to the body, presumably for energy transference. By that logic, who knows what could get in? There are wicked spirits out there.
