Long time CTH readers will note we extended well over a year of benefit-of-the-doubt to the motives of former FBI Director James Comey with regard to the severity of his politicized nature and disposition. Throughout the entire Clinton investigation we remained ambivalent to Comey’s motives.
Indeed it wasn’t until after the Pulse nightclub terrorist attack when Comey obtusely noted the FBI had been contacted (prior to the attack) about the sketchy behavior of Omar Mateen by a ‘random concerned citizen’ -and our finding that the actual ‘citizen’ was the far more substantive St Lucie county sheriff Ken Mascara– that we recognized how far Comey was willing to go to save his political face.
Yesterday, a friend of James Comey by the name of Benjamin Wittes, editor and writer for lawfare blog, now steps out and admits he was one of the primary sources for the New York Times Comey Memo article (Michael Schmidt); and in so doing outlines the severity of the political nature of the former FBI Director:
[…] I called Schmidt Friday morning after reading his earlier story, which ran the previous evening, about Comey’s dinner with President Trump and the President’s demands at that dinner for a vow of loyalty.

That question can’t be answered until Comey produces the memo, and most likely other memos he may have produced.
The dems better be careful what they wish for....
Then all of a sudden there is a ‘memo’ that came out??? After he had already lied to the Senate Committee...
President Trump has known all along what has been going on, even before he took his oath of office he knew...and Comey not being as smart as President Trump and still thinking he could do what he had done in the Obama Administration, kept on doing what he was doing...and then while Comey was in California, President Trump had a ‘hand delivered’ letter saying he was fired...
Now, certain people have Comey’s computers, notes, everything that was in his office, and the game is up...
If Comey says anything, it had better be the truth because a flood of information will come out about who he said to what matters and how he was trying to ‘go around’ the people he was suppose to go to first...
In earlier times, when America knew what it was about and was still the “Land Of The Free - Home Of The Brave,” Comey, Brennan, Hillary, Clapper, and Rice would have been marched to the gallows and hanged as traitors.

The problem is there is no memo there...
If there had been anything, it would have already been out, long before all of this happened...
If the libs had anything on President Trump it would have surfaced long before now...they have NOTHING...
President Trump is NOT playing by their rules and they don’t like it...they don’t know what he knows, and they don’t know what he will do next...he runs rings around them everyday all day and they can’t keep up...
There are steps that you follow and one of the things that Comey was doing was building the FBI into a ‘closed’ department to take the Government down...

Why hasn’t Comey denounced the NYT story?
By not doing so he lends credence to the story and appears to have perjured himself (5 years) and committed misprision of felony (3 years).
Why aren’t reporters questioning Comey?

Why hasn’t Congress ordered him to appear to explain his apparent perjury? Subpoena him TODAY.

This is a separate matter - apparently he lied to Congress.
It confirms the fact that Comey has opened himself to a felony prosecution for giving out confidential memos to people not authorized to have this information. Can you say Gen. Petraeus?
