Senate rejects repeal of Obama drilling rule
The Hill ^

Posted on 05/10/2017 12:24:28 PM PDT by fision

Three Republicans joined Senate Democrats on Wednesday to reject an effort to overturn an Obama administration rule limiting methane emissions from oil and natural gas drilling.

Only 49 senators voted to move forward with debate on legislation to undo the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) rule, short of the 51 votes needed.

Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham (S.C.), Susan Collins (Maine) and John McCain (Ariz.) joined all 48 members of the Democratic caucus in rejecting the resolution under the Congressional Review Act (CRA).

We will have to live with it, or accept Leftists on the Supreme Court for the next thirty years.

Graham is coming up for re-election next yer. Will SC’s Republican Party AGAIN allow seven unknown dwarfs to run against Graham in the GOP Primary?

Democrats (and Graham) understand the value of a “divide-and-conquer” strategy.

Why don’t Conservatives?

These three need to be GONE !!!

You've got one shot! McCain was reelected in '16. We're stuck with him until '22. Graham in '14. Stuck until '20.

Your only chance is Collins. Last elected in '12, she's up next year.

Sens. Lindsey Graham (S.C.), Susan Collins (Maine) and John McCain (Ariz.) are traitors. Why in the world would they be anti-energy? Jerks.

I just cut and pasted this text. Writers of numerous news stories in the future will be doing the same thing, because it will be a regular occurrence.

I thought the restrictions were made by Obama executive orders and not legislation. But Trump can’t undo them?

Words fail. All I would do is waste my time on the worthless GOP. I give scumbag Democrats credit, they are LOYAL and never betray their own party.
