UPDATE: Broward Sheriff's Office detectives arrested the 16-year-old responsible for throwing a 68-year-old woman in a pool.

Officials say the suspect turned himself in shortly before 5 p.m. Monday, He faces one count of battery on a person 65 years of age or older. After he is processed at the Juvenile Assessment Center, he is expected to be taken to Broward Juvenile Facility.

One of the dogs got away before she was dragged and thrown in the pool, but the other dog was dragged on the pavement and thrown into the pool along with her and apparently has a broken leg. Where are the animal rights groups as he should face animal cruelty charges, too.

The powers to be want this to be nothing more than an incident.
