Students at Indianas Butler University will soon learn strategies for resistance to oppose President Donald Trump.
Students paying roughly $36,000 in tuition have signed up for a Special Topics class titled Trumpism & U.S. Democracy. The course, which begins in August and runs until December, explicitly charges the Republican with perpetuating sexism, white supremacy, xenophobia, nationalism, nativism, and imperialism.
"This course explores why and how this happened, how Trumps rhetoric is contrary to the foundation of the U.S. democracy, and what his win means for the future, reads a description on Butlers website, first reported Wednesday by The Heartland Institute. The course will also discuss, and potentially engage in, strategies for resistance.

It’s amazing how close you can get to treason without actually committing treason.
IMHO, this is feeding the flame for more violent acts, regardless of what it says it is going to avoid teaching (terrorist techniques, etc).
Doesn’t take a genius to make the leap.
Dark forces at work in this country, and they’re spoiling for a civil war.
90 percent o the people accept Trump as president. that’s about average.
So there may be a civil war, but it ain’t gonna be the longest one in history.
Might be the most devastatingly one sided quick victory iin civil war history
Go ahead and lay waste to Manhattan.
We here will mop up any Staten Island upstarts. :)
Bringing outsourced jobs back to the US?
Rebuilding our infrastructure?
Oddly, this is the safe-space crowd. Not sure how they even got past the entry door of the college.
I had a higher opinion of Butler prior to this.
That is what I can’t figure out

If they do not know that the United States is a Republic (not a democracy) what else don’t they know.
Actually it is almost funny. These snowflakes that require “safe spaces” and protection from any alternative point of view are going to form a “resistance”.
Resistance against what? Less taxes, secure borders, less regulations, return of some power to the states, less spending?
As someone else pointed out, these Universities are on the edge of treason. One of their precious snowflakes is going to get the idea it is okay to commit violence against those that don’t agree with them, at that point people are going to die.
Those teaching such courses will have blood on their hands.
At minimum all federal funding should be removed from schools at all levels.
Any teacher involved, any student who signs up, and the college that sponsors this course should loose all federal funding or aid. Fomenting rebellion is a crime, not a class.
No doubt offered by the College of Losers, Snowflake Department.
Tactical Response offers course in Advanced Fighting Rifle for far less.
We win.
Political activism is “free speech”.
Turning “education” into a paid, direct venue for nothing other than political activism is neither an academic presentation nor an education, it’s indoctrination pure and simple.
Such persons have a right to publish their treatise, on their own dime or voluntary paid by someone else. Masquerading a political soapbox as either an “education” or academic is an intellectual lie. The board/trustees of Butler should demand this “course” be removed. The “professor” can join any “protest”, he doesn’t deserve a classroom for his soapbox.
