Multiple people were stabbed near Gregory Gym at the University of Texas at Austin Monday afternoon, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
One person is dead on scene and three other victims are being transported, according to EMS.
Four stabbed and one death.

More info. A freshman girl witnessed it and avoided giving ethnic description. Said the suspect was walking quietly and calmly with backpack. Appeared he stabbed randomly during the lunch hour by a food truck. One victim slumped over an outside table. Suspect walked up behind another student and stabbed him.

Presser with police. Classes and evening events on campus cancelled. Armed with large hunting knife. Suspect complied and was arrested. Victims all male - 3 in hospital and one dead. Kendrex J. White is suspect, black male and a UT student.

UT Police Chief David Carter identified the suspect in the attack as 20-year-old UT student Kendrex J. White.
Police got the call around 1:30 p.m. this afternoon about a person with a knife who attacked or assaulted someone outside the Gregory gym.
A UT police officer saw a man, later identified as White, with a “large, bowie-style hunting knife,” Carter said. The officer drew his gun and told White to get on the ground, which he did, and police took him into custody.
The bike cops got him.
About two years ago, our local mayor a couple of city council members bought the suggestion of cops on bikes.
In a couple of years, they cleaned up some bad areas. Then they got defunded and the street scum moved back in.
Soon they will not be identifying sex (”gender”) of suspects either.
