Watching several minutes of CNNs punditry coverage of President Trumps Harrisburg rally is exceptionally interesting from the perspective of watching what happens when full-throated liberal media ideology is confronted by a political opponent inoculated from battered politician syndrome. The media cries foul.
Many intellectually honest people throughout the political era have noted that liberalism -in its modern presentation- is similar to a psychological condition. Thats true. However, the actual condition displayed is more aptly described as Borderline Personality .
The advancement of modern liberalism is contingent upon their abused recipient cowering to the demands of the progressive abuser. Modern democrats, including the media, define the boundaries of permitted response allowed by the recipient of the attack.
However, when the recipient of the constant attack, in this case President Trump, refuses to comply with unidirectional rules, and actually fights back with the same ferocity and absence of boundaries, the attacker retreats amid safe-spaces and demands immediate contact from like-minded fellow travelers to affirm the tenuous position of their narrow views.
It is a remarkable thing to witness.
The mental gymnastics necessary to retain modern progressive views is stunning in its hypocrisy. Political speech they dont agree with is considered violence; but actual political violence they do agree with is considered speech.

Well said!
That was well stated.
It's called Group Think.
Irving Janis was a Psych professor at Yale. He researched groupthink and developed eight groupthink behaviors. I recast them a little below as commandments of the progressive left.
I Thou shalt create an illusion of invulnerability shared by most members to foster excessive optimism and encourage extreme risks taking
II Thou shall not allow any member to question the groups inherent morality, instead members shall be encouraged to ignore the ethical or moral consequences of their decisions
III Thou shalt promote collective efforts to rationalize in order to discount warnings, or other information that might lead members to reconsider their assumptions before they recommit themselves to their assumptions
IV Thou shalt reinforce stereotyped views of enemy leaders as too evil to warrant genuine attempts to negotiate, or as too weak and stupid to counter whatever risky attempts are made to defeat their purpose
V Thou shalt self-censor any deviation from the apparent group consensus, inclining each member to minimize the importance of their doubts and counterarguments
VI Thou shalt create and maintain a shared illusion of unanimity concerning judgment conforming to the majority view
VII Thou shalt apply direct pressure on any member who expresses strong arguments against any of the groups stereotypes, illusions, or commitments, making clear that this type of dissent is contrary to what is expected of all loyal members
VIII Thou shalt appoint mind guards to protect the group from adverse information that might shatter their shared complacency about the effectiveness and morality of their decisions

Good article. Thanks for posting.

The Democrat Party and the Mainstream Media Died last night as the White House Correspondents Dinner was both a wake and funeral foe both of these low life American Traitors & Destroyers!!! WHCD was a total wipeout from A-Z!!! And...to boot no one with a brain was watching or listening to these elitist morons!!! RIP....WHCD!!!
I call it the hive.
I wonder how many people who don't have their head stuck firmly up their keister are coming to the same conclusion. If you think Obama was bad, wait until these progressives get back holding the levers of power--they're so incensed with the "how dare they" attitude that they will seek to punish or eliminate their "enemies".
They immediately think its a trick question!!!...lol...the look on their faces are priceless...
This article helped me understand some of the Internet bullying I was experiencing from two longtime friends. All over Trump. They went batsh** crazy when I unfriended one on Facebook over me privately asking if the person really believed the anti-Trump posts the person was posting - how insensitive of me, I was engaging in bullying by asking this, when I tried to apologize twice over what I thought was a misunderstanding, it was not accepted, it wasn’t good enough, I was told I better think long and hard about what I was doing. When I said to myself, I don’t need this and hit the Unfriend button, then the other person came after me with nasty messages. Now I know who the real friends were in the combination of our longtime emailing of one another, and it wasn’t me. Should auld acquaintance be forgot and ne’er be brought to mind? Unfortunately, yes, and I’m posting this to help others who lost friends and experienced broken relationships over politics.
The Media wants to bring the ball up and go into their set half-court offense — Trump plays full-court press and fast breaks, with a few elbows thrown for good measure. The Media aren’t equipped for this. Their reaction cycle is way too slow for his game.
BPD is actually a personality disorder, not a thought disorder. But, for our purposes, it’s a very good fit.
To carry the anology further, the prognosis for BPD is grim. They don’t get better, but with the right meds and therapy, they can be managed.
It’s the all/nothing thinking that’s crazy making. If Borderlines had a motto it would be: I love you! Go away!
But, I digress. The.media *are* behaving like a bunch of Borderlines in relation to the president.
They will not change. Ever. President Trump understands that and he’s the only Republican who isn’t constantly bowing and scraping in hopes of winning them over.
Good Morning M Kehoe. How is your first lady?
That’s why I never responded to old friends hitting me up on FB and why I only have 3 friends there. 2 were an accidental “Friending” and I felt bad about un-friending them. Especially since one was my daughter.
My old classmates and such, I’d just as soon remember them as they were instead of finding out they are now liberal douchebags. Heck, I haven’t even gone to a class reunion in the 40+ years since graduation.
Not since Reagan have we had a president so not afraid to wear conservatism on his sleeve and fight for his beliefs. Both Bush's allowed themselves to be cowed by the Alinsky Left and went out of their way to not offend the sensibilities of the Democrats. Even though the Democrats waged open war on the both of them (as well as failed candidates like Dole, McCain and Romney).
Hi friend! Doing fine, and “357”is doing ok too. I hope you two are doing well too, and I miss seeing you!
Those commandments certainly do apply! Thanks for sharing.
Progressive disease quite like Alcoholism.
Errr... Literally.
Their mind consists of
randomly collected bad/wrong ideas/memories all piled up.
They impose no order, discipline or logic.
They generally are not even aware that is whats happening.
Cannot, will not ever make logical sense.
Garbage in, Garbage out.
They do not even imagine an alternative,
as they do not even recognize the condition.
Philosophically at a very high level
a Decision was made.
There Simply Is No Logical Sense.
No Answer, no truth.
They are Stuck, spinning around.
The minds time is occupied by random thoughts
that arrive or are driven in by
whatever momentary, unremarked
emotion is stirred.
From memories of not getting a pony for Christmas,
to very serious matters.
So, for the lightweights, overwhelming concern about being Triggered over trivial matters.
A Bad application of a valid, and true observation.
On the grain of truth, then more mistakes, errors, misjudgements, a
big messy pile of random.
To the point of defining the universe as random.
This is no minor issue.
*******
Intersectionality is the next big mistake on the pile.
Gives them something to talk about,
as they agree
all the other issues are settled.
The answer being there is no answer.
