As Fox News continues to reel from the summary dismissal of its top star Bill O'Reilly this week and its creator, Roger Ailes earlier this year, a lot of attention has been given to women who worked there and whether they experienced any sort of harassment.
There was a very interesting exchange between Jake Tapper and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin during his interview with her on The Lead Thursday. Tapper asked, directly, what she experienced during her time working there as a commentator.
Palin, who left the network in June of 2015, didn't elaborate about her personal experiences, but she did say the Fox News culture needed to change.
She said she'd never put up with any sort of harassment. When Tapper asked if that's why she left, she said, "You can ask them why I'm no longer with Fox. You know, I'm not - I'm not going to speak for them. My contract wasn't renewed, that's the line." It doesn't take much online research to find evidence of questionable comments by Fox News executives and personalities aimed at Palin.
There was the time in 2010 when Don Imus of Fox Business asked Fox News Chris Wallace about an upcoming interview.
"When you interview her, will she be sitting on your lap?" asked a laughing Imus.
"One can only hope," said a laughing Chris Wallace.
Or, there are the comments of Roger Ailes, the Fox News godfather, who used this language in 2011 to describe why he brought her to the network: "I hired Sarah Palin because she was hot and got ratings."

So what, she is hot and Wallace was kidding around. These libs are pathetic.
The media Liberal and Conservative dumber than a a bag of rocks.
Sad.
I need to come up for an acronym of CNN as a Gossip column.
They have more in common with Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge from Archie Comics than Journalism.
"...dogpile on fox news, dogpile on fox news, dogpile on fox news"
CNN can’t beat FOX in the ratings, so they continue to make up stories about the employees....
Very Fake News from a rival network.
Those two examples are specious.
* I’m no fan of Wallace, but this was a harmless response in a comedic moment on Imus.
* Ailes could easily say “hot” meant good-ratings-at-the-moment.
Trump should de-regulate the Cable industry, then CNN would fade away. Alternatively, when most of us cut the cord, it dies.
This is a nonsense article.
“I hired Sarah Palin because she was hot and got ratings.”
That is a compliment. Talking about her. That is in NO WAY anything insulting. He didn’t even say it to her face.
Or this: “When you interview her, will she be sitting on your lap?” asked a laughing Imus.
Again, she was not even present.
This is TOTAL nonsense. But I sure would like to see her at the network, or somewhere else, once again.
Hire her Trump.
Political correctness does not supersede nature. Surround highly successful, heterosexual men with very good looking women, such behavior is inevitable. Just the way it is and has always been.
Yes, she’s hot. She likes looking hot. Why not.
Women can say similar things about hot men, but men are not permitted to say such things about hot women.
We are being conditioned by a feminized/hetero hating press.
Imus was the dirty old perv that suggested the lap-sitting. Chris was just being honest. As for Sarah being “hot”, at the time she was hot politically, hot ratings-wise and hot visually. You can ascribe the meaning of the word any of the three ways and it still works.
I don’t doubt that there was some horseplay behind the scenes. There’s a difference between sexual bantering and clearly unwelcome line-crossing. I’m sure the women at FNC don’t behave as prudes. Offices learn quickly which women love the verbal sparring and which ones are offended by it.
CNN 24 hours of gossip no news move along.
Anyone notice? Since the election the left has spent ZERO effort getting the 411 on the loss of the voting base that used to elect them. ZERO.
Instead, their ENTIRE effort has been dedicated to rigging the system to ensure they can’t lose, voters be damned.
Some examples:
-Obama and Holder announce effort to end Gerrymandering. That is, in districts where it doesn’t favor them. Translation, ensure voters have the choice between democrat or voting democrat in elections.
-Soros, Aldred and his ilk have decided conservative media must be silenced. The attack on Fox is the latest. As if CNN was as clean as pure driven snow in their treatment of women and minorities.
-The “safe space” revolution to shut down all conservative speech on college campuses.
-The never ending Trump/Russia conspiracy fabricated out of thin air to justify impeaching Trump. The real reason for impeachment being this: unless a democrat wins it doesn’t count. In short, heads they win, tails we lose. But either way, damn the voters, the Dems win.
-leftist Obama appointed judges simply nullify anything that doesn’t fit their agenda.
-Rank and file members of the federal bureaucracy have decided to ignore the elected officials.
The democrats have gone full totalitarian. This constitution thingy was fun while it lasted. But nothing must be allowed to stop gloabalism and statism. The democrats are what is, all else need not apply.
I’d be thrilled if men thought of me in that manner. Considered beautiful and hot by the opposite is a compliment.
Um there are a BUNCH of globalists, who are Republicans also.
The globalist nonsense, goes WAY beyond partisan politics.
What organization that did TV broadcast would not want to hire a hot looking woman that got good ratings?
Why can’t we fire Chris Wallace?
There was the time in 2010 when Don Imus of Fox Business asked Fox News Chris Wallace about an upcoming interview.
“When you interview her, will she be sitting on your lap?” asked a laughing Imus.
“One can only hope,” said a laughing Chris Wallace.
These guys must be shot at sunrise........A man can’t even share his hopes these days....WTF
