The University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) administration is allegedly trying to sack an outspoken conservative professor for his resistance to political correctness.
Keith Fink, a UCLA professor who teaches classes on entertainment law and free speech, fears the university could an upcoming professional review to help push him out of the institution.
Fink has previously caused waves on campus by refusing to embrace trigger warnings and safe spaces, prompting the university to block some students from taking his classes.
University policy dictates that every lecturer must undergo a periodic “Excellence Review” to judge their performance.
If a panel of senior faculty members decide the professor doesn’t meet the excellence standards, they are forced to leave the position.
Fink told The Daily Wire that such reviews are normally just a formality, but the university administration is throwing obstacles in his path.
According to the emails acquired by the Wire, the officials have reprimanded Fink for incorrect admin in soliciting statements from students to support his teaching – a charge Fink denies.
He also claims the department ignoring his nominees for students to contact and using a different list, purposefully skipping one which praised him particularly strongly. Only when he noticed that the document was missing, the department fixed the allegedly accidental mistake...

Keith Fink told the College Fix that after a liberal shift in the school’s administration, some students were blocked from enrolling in his “Sex, Politics and Race” course. He said the class size has been restricted due to his conservative leanings.
“I go over principles that govern First Amendment free speech, due process rights and ‘kangaroo’ campus court proceedings,” he said, adding that he often uses UCLA as his example.
“They continuously and consistently trample students’ rights,” he said.
Fink, who is untenured, argued the school “sends emails that chill speech they don’t like” and punishes students who run afoul of the administration’s leftist ideology.
On the other hand, he said an obscene cartoon in a school publication, featuring Bibi Netanyahu with a large nose and the Commandments of “Thou Shalt Not Steal” and “Thou Shalt Not Murder” visible in the background, elicited no response from those same administrators...”
Instead of the Koch brothers and company blowing hundreds of millions of dollars per campaign season they should create a conservative university. There are tons of high quality conservative scholars black balled by the current environment available. Considering all the private liberal arts colleges struggling to attract students there are opportunities to buy existing campuses.

The modern day office is bad enough.
I cannot imagine having to work at one of these hell holes. Brain washed children and their slave masters all walking around in angry PC, triggered, liberal trances.
All my kids went to private Christian schools just for this reason. Our family is reaping the rewards now, all of them following Christ still. One of my sons decided to let the “corps” straighten him out after High School. It did.
Now he is finishing mechanical engineering degree and marrying great Christian girl.

Incredible how the left wing liberal nut jobs stole our nation’s education system from K all the way through Graduate School.
That has always angered me. They go for the minds of the weak, desperate, poor and the young.

Now we are talking. This would force kids into schools with pro American and Pro Common sense agendas.

Yet other professors can call for violence against the president and Republicans and that’s just fine.
That’s a great idea.
Honestly, half of the colleges and universities in the country could close their doors and we probably would be better off.
Higher education has become nothing more than a cash cow for Leftist professors and administrators.

When LTG Leslie Groves was warned by his intelligence staff about recruiting scientists from universities for Manhattan Project assignments, he complained something to the effect of, “Where am I supposed to find scientists if not from the universities?”
Robert Oppenheimer, who headed up the scientists of the program at Groves behest, had been a lefty himself, but with no “official” attachment to any such cause. But his wife sure had.

The big issue will be the accreditation bodies, which are control by Leftists. It doesn't matter if you open a conservative university, if your degrees are not recognized because your school is not accredited.
The Secretary of Education has some power over these groups, which is likely the real reason why Democrats tossed such a fit over Trump's pick.
Yes, the statists locked up higher ed with accreditation. And accreditation is a sure path to mediocrity.
Now that some states have laws requiring accreditation before an institution can call itself a college or university, there really needs to be an entirely different model.
