The words “female” and “woman” were more closely associated with arts and humanities occupations and with the home, while “male” and “man” were closer to maths and engineering professions.

And the AI system was more likely to associate European American names with pleasant words such as “gift” or “happy”, while African American names were more commonly associated with unpleasant words.

Obviously not. They are computer programs that do calculations. Reality is that blacks and hispanics commit much more crime proportionally than anyone else. It’s a fact. The liberals refuse to admit it, but it’s indisputable.

Just like exams. They consistently show that blacks and hispanics do poorly, but liberals refuse to accept that, and so throw out the exams.

The Human brain is a big statistical processor. Our “biases” come from data we observe over time. It is how we have survived and prospered. The whole point of PC is to short-circuit that. And for a sizeable portion of the population, it seems to be working.

A good AI will pick up on exactly the same things as a smart human. But it won’t fit the PC template, which means the Left will cry out for it to be changed. But you can’t hid the truth from an AI and expect it to work properly. So Tthis will result in AI that makes bad decisions. It will be an interesting dynamic. Techies used to be almost exclusively conservative. Now its split about 50/50, but even the liberal techies want to make things work. Because their $$ depends on it.
