Well CNN in this Youtube vid seems to be correct here, Trump said one thing on the campaign trail and now is doing another.
Yes, it is amazing that CNN is finally covering presidential vacation costs.
But two important distinctions, Trump is actually visiting his real home from his temporary White House residence. The 2nd is that if Trump were not president he could still do the same thing.
One point I would like CNN to answer is how much is Trump charging the GVT (e.g., Secret Service) to stay at Mar A Largo?
**********************************************
Answer:
Something that was revealed during the last Presidency about the WH few seem to know much about. The POSTUS put off security renovations until he left the WH. It was thought to be Trump would not be able to stay in the WH during the first year of his Presidency. The trips to Mar A Largo are due to these security renovations. Having him in the WH at all is impressive given the WH has construction going on. 171 posted on 4/16/2017, 10:10:52 AM by zaxtres
Trump does more honest work on these “vacations” than Obama did at his busiest....the setting matches his style as a negotiator.
A vacation is an extended period of recreation spent away from home or traveling.
Mar a Lago is one of Trumps residences. People play golf all the time when they are not on vacation.
Trump is doing a great job. This is just more media lies.
Wow, am I catching hell here.
Take a look at my profile and decide if I am a Troll, plus almost 20 years as a Freeper should allow for the benefit of the doubt.
Bottom line here is that Trump said one thing on the Campaign Trail and now is doing other. And it looks like CNN is presenting that in a very effective way of using Trump’s own words. And that is where Trump messed up.
That being said, I am all for him continuing golfing. I believe he is working his a$$ off and needs some stress relief.
IMHO he is on path to be a better commander in chief than Reagan (one of my few heroes, but even he was not perfect)
I’m a single issue voter who voted for Trump because he said he would not golf. I feel so betrayed.
There seems to be a history of this. Haven't read it, probably interesting though. Click the pic to order it.
Are you serious? Do you think this matters?
Why are people so quick to parrot CNN’s vomit and then play in it themselves?
I’ll stack this “But Trumps campaign words do not match his actions.” against the huge list of campaign words that have.
Coming to FR is becoming tedious.
I played golf yesterday. I am not on vacation.
Going home for the weekend is not a vacation.
Yup the WH is surely bugged. Mar-a-lago isn’t, it’s right next to an intl airport, it boasts three underground bunkers and he spends a few hours some days playing golf there. He also hosts foreign diplomats and gives the word to fire off 60 tomahawk missiles from there.
It’s no different than obama playing ping pong with some kid down in the tunnels of DC.
Ok, it may be a little different than that.
More like if there were a golf course on the WH grounds that a President could get a few hours of play on while he thinks about things and then go back to work.
Trump may have said he’d lead from the WH but if Mar-A-Lago has become the de facto (but electronically secure) WH, then, campaign promise kept.
Oh really, like Trump supporters are watching CNN.
CNN and the rest have been puking the Russian narrative non-stop for months with little effect except for the non-Trump supporters who lap it up. Before that it was “Trump is literally Hitler”.
Now the media says Trump’s a flip-flopper. Do you believe that too? Are they being effective in transmitting those words too?
They hammered “no evidence” about Trump’s claim of being “wire tapped” by the O administration. How’s that working out for them?
Screw the damn media, full speed ahead!
Trump should Tweet about this and blow CNN out of the water.
He does stay in the White House. From Mon-Fri. Do you stay in your place of work on Saturday and Sundays? You are evidently buying into the MSM narrative lock, stock and barrel. No wonder we have so much difficulty getting good people elected when there are so many brain-dead people out there getting their news from liberal media and accepting it as the truth.
Yes. I DID watch the ‘vid.’ Here is what I heard him say, “....I just wanna stay in the WH and make deals, who wouldn’t, I mean......”
1) Those ‘........s’ indicate that the vid was clipped out of something, who knows?
2) I STILL stand by my post #7 - time at home and ‘making deals’ and playing golf as has been reported isn’t a vacation with the wife and kiddies in my book - it is petty to suggest it, frankly.
I’m not condemning you as a troll for your post, but if the CNN silliness of it on its face is coupled with the ongoing narrative of “Jared the Jew and Ivanka the Dress Designer” undermining the WH (all from sources that just reek of the snide and snark all headlined with WEINER, WEINER, WEINER) then perhaps you can understand why you are getting kickback.
This place is under a constant barrage of pessimism, defeatism, petulant premature dissatisfaction, and probably with a wee bit of never-Trump thrown in, to boot. I have never seen anything like it in quite a number of years. It is discouraging to say the least.
“Read My Lips!!!” POTUS, Donald J. Trump has done more work and good for this great nation and “all” its people in his 100 days,...then Obama, Clinton and the entire Democrat Party did in eight years.
Just what is a Democrat: Answer, a Traitor, a Turncoat, an America Hater, and a true low life!!!
LOL, very difficult for me to watch CNN (and Fox) as they are not on the Thai TV channels I have.
So I sit in my kitchen (actually my mancave#2) watching my smart TV using Youtube. I like Tucker Carlson, GG, and Lou Dobbs, and once I got thru them I still needed something to watch and this CNN vid caught my eye.
However, I have watched CNN vids like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LTMOsnTuCs
many times, and continue to enjoy them.
“Bottom line here is that Trump said one thing on the Campaign Trail and now is doing other. And it looks like CNN is presenting that in a very effective way of using Trumps own words.”
CNN is wrong. You are wrong.
People have patiently explained to you that Mar a Lago is a Trump residence, he is working while he is there and that just because someone plays golf, that does not mean he is on vacation.
Please don’t repeat and endorse the lies of the media.
A working weekend in his own home is not a vacation.
Multi-million dollar taxpayer paid tours of Europe and Africa along with a few Jumbo Jets full of your friends ala Moochie Obama are vacations.
Moochie’s stay in the five-star Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin at a cost of $3,500 a night paid by taxpayers is a vacation.
Taking her own taxpayer paid Boeing 747 from Washington to Hawaii because she didn’t want to ride in Air Force One with Barack is a vacation.

Well I not sure that tweeting is the right venue for this, but I agree with your intent.
Another Freeper here mentioned something I was going to post (once I got through all the flack) is that Trump is going there on weekends, not the weekdays.
Yes he is president 24/7 but even Iron Man Don needs some respite.
You should catch hell. Look around you here and see how many nuts believe in every stupid conspiracy theory against Trump, his family and his administration. It goes on here each and every day and then you set a fire on top of it - over what? He goes to Mar a Lago, his own home, and works from there!
I’m sick of it and I wish Jim would do something about this.
If a foreign visitor stays there it's a bargain to the US taxpayer.
