Grocery store aisles are lined with chocolate candy bunnies, jelly beans, and marshmallow Peeps, but one thing is missing--the word "Easter."
Hershey's, M&M's, Lindor, Russell Stover, Dove, Rolo, and Twix have all produced Easter themed candy without mentioning the word on the front of their candy, according to a press release from the Liberty Counsel.
"Just as companies were trying to profit from Christmas while ignoring the reason for the celebration, now companies are targeting the Christian aspects of Easter and removing them," Mat Staver, Founder, and Chairman of Liberty Counsel said.

We’re the same age and I agree. I don’t recall hearing it before.
Must be an unintended benefit of MAGA
...nothing sez The Lord Has Risen mo’ betta’ than a fist full ‘o chocolates!
I don’t which is more ludicrous Easter or Christmas... Both “holy” days have little in common with the events they pretend to celebrate. Merchants holidays seem to be designed to demean the significance of Jesus.
“Peeps for target practice” trumps watching peeps exploding in the microwave! Less mess too!
Excellent idea!
Amen!!! I do not observe either holiday...in fact, 'Ishtar' dinner today will probably be nachos. Everyone else will be observing the resurrection of a Jewish Messiah with a big 'ol HAM!
I like Resurrection Saturday myself...
Has been happening for a long time. Just the natural progression of a society that is becoming 100% Christian in name only. Most big corporations are left-oriented, and are fully in agreement with the left’s biggest goal: remove all vestiges of Christianity from this country.
Good! Christians need to take back their holidays and teach their children their true meaning.
Santas and Easter bunnies have proved to be clever and successful distractions from Jesus.
Of course keeping in mind that these “clear Easter” candies are bunnies and eggs and all those PAGAN symbol that got attached to Easter and actually have nothing to do with Jesus.
Of course those were just regular Nerds relabeled to cash in. So you need to decide: do you want them to see Easter as a source of money not actually respecting anything about the holiday, or do you want them to ignore it.
Effm, support local chocolate makeres. They are not afraid of Easter, and their chocolate is not gritty and waxy.
More items on the do not use list.
“Chalk”latey would be a more apt description.
I agree. I had the most beautiful thing happen last night. A lady on our street came door to door to spread the Good News and share/give/break a loaf of bread with me.
I offered her a sip of wine.
As she left to go to the next house her works reminded me that Easter, Resurrection, Eucharist, and where there are two of more gathered...Christ will be there. Along with whoever hears My knock...
Funny, it was hard to see as I turned to come back inside.
Cadbury has their slogan, “Nobunny knows Easter better than Cadbury”, on their commercials and on the candy packages.
Do you recall the name of the manufacturer?
The War on Chistmas
The War on Easter
= the war on Christ!!
