Grocery store aisles are lined with chocolate candy bunnies, jelly beans, and marshmallow Peeps, but one thing is missing--the word "Easter."
Hershey's, M&M's, Lindor, Russell Stover, Dove, Rolo, and Twix have all produced Easter themed candy without mentioning the word on the front of their candy, according to a press release from the Liberty Counsel.
"Just as companies were trying to profit from Christmas while ignoring the reason for the celebration, now companies are targeting the Christian aspects of Easter and removing them," Mat Staver, Founder, and Chairman of Liberty Counsel said.

Bingo
boy the times have changed...
I have to admit I've done NO decorating for Easter....not one bunny on the table...didn't buy and green grass for the baskets because frankly, we're all adults here and we're not doing baskets...
we did go to Mass tonite...2 hrs long...so there's that...
Happy Easter
bought candy for the grand kids and some for the house...but you're right...not as good as yrs ago...
I wondered about that, but assumed it was because Easter was so late this year. School districts in my area always have their break the week after Easter, but that would give them only a month until Memorial Day once they return to school on April 24. Im curious as to what they’ll do next year.
I fail to see a problem.
ALL candy makers can't be brain dead.
Publius911 <<< not worried in the least...
Or a few years hence.
Hershey’s, M&M’s, Lindor, Russell Stover, Dove, Rolo, and Twix, Cadbury
Guess they won’t get my money this year.
We had a ton of catechumens and candidates.
Three hours.
Lol! Actually, when my husband and I were still in school and working, we hit the supermarkets after Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Easter for the marked-down chocolate candy. We put it in the freezer and enjoyed it pretty much all year long (and we have the serum cholesterol to prove it! :) ).
The dollar stores sell an Easter-themed chocolate bar that has Jesus on the wrapper. A second bar has crosses. Aimed for the Christian market. My local supermarket picked up the brand.
That's because it's not chocolate. It's "chocolatey".
I noticed that this year. No Easter, no decorations.
I went to a local confectioners to purchase the usual bunnies for the grown up kids.
They had Happy Easter loud and proud on their sign.
Happy Easter Everyone.
Christ has died
Christ has risen
Christ will come Again
PING!
I found a container of Peeps that were laying around for five years. All they had was the words, “Always in season.” No mention of Easter.
Buy no candy until it changes back
Target CEO issues mea culpable on TG bathrooms and chocolate crosses suddenly appear in the “seasonal” candy section.
Lots of that going on in S. Mississippi.
All the shop clerks in my area ( Western North Carolina) were wishing Happy Easter...
.....we’re in the buckle of the Bible Belt, so there are practically churches on every corner ( (& I love it!)
Thanks....good to know they still recognize Easter :)
I haven’t dyed eggs, lately, so wasn’t sure.
