Some of the biggest blows to the progressive cause in the past year have often been due to the votes of white men. If white men were not allowed to vote, it is unlikely that the United Kingdom would be leaving the European Union, it is unlikely that Donald Trump would now be the President of the United States, and it is unlikely that the Democratic Alliance would now be governing four of South Africa's biggest cities.
If white men no longer had the vote, the progressive cause would be strengthened. It would not be necessary to deny white men indefinitely the denial of the vote to white men for 20 years (just less than a generation) would go some way to seeing a decline in the influence of reactionary and neo-liberal ideology in the world. The influence of reckless white males were one of the primary reasons that led to the Great Recession which began in 2008. This would also strike a blow against toxic white masculinity, one that is long needed.

Good point-isn’t it strange that for all the purported oppression whites inflict upon others, the others will fight and sue to be near us? Isn’t it interesting that historically white majority nations have always comprised the majority of the First World, and that non-whites will follow whites to the ends of the earth to be near their “oppressors”?
We are already the global minority, by a long chalk. So I suppose in a way, whites are considering the bleak future that their progeny would have, by not reproducing at replacement levels.OTOH, if we were reproducing at replacement levels, our future wouldn’t be so bleak.
And do what they always do when they attain power-turn those affluent areas into present-day Detroit, Baltimore, St Louis, Gary Indiana, Haiti, South Africa (that didn’t take long), and every other area which whites turned into First World entities, only to watch as blacks, when they became the majority and achieved political power, turn them into third world, crime-ridden sh*tholes.

To indiscriminately shoot women?
Perhaps you are "the real thing." My only question is "real what?"
Take a GOOD look at the women who hold political office in this country...99% are baby-killing socialists; mostly demokkkrats or progressive republicans (Susan Collins). Same with the judiciary.
OMG...LOL! When I first glanced at your post, I saw 'only married men who live with their MOTHER-IN-LAW...'
I checked the screen name to see who would be that insane to subject ANY married man to such a cruel fate. :-)
Franklin Raines ran Fannie Mae. Howell Raines was the Executive Editor of the NYT for a short time, until he tried to take down Augusta National and got his a** handed to him.
She’s white and lives in Georgia USA (and could pass for a female Stalin)
Overuse of the passive voice here is a certain sign that Shelley hasn't a clue concerning suffrage, namely how and who it is that confers it and what tends to happen when it is withdrawn. Who precisely is going to do all of this? And do they expect to live the 20-30 years Shelley has decided will be necessary to effect worldwide redistribution of wealth and the ending of social injustice?
That would be a rather tall order even if those of us with Y chromosomes and little melanin were kept safely to heel, which is likely to prove an even taller order. Shelley has offered us chains, promising that after "only" 20 or 30 years she'll take them off again. Or when her expectations are met. Or when she feels like it. She's missed her calling, she should be a comedian.
“toxic white masculinity”?
I am a woman and can hardly remain from barfing.
Men , both white and black, built the U, S. Granted, in different ways, but without men we would be nowhere.
I am a woman and tend to agree with your wife.
I turned 18 in October of 1980. I asked my father who I should vote for.
He said, Ronald Reagan. :)
So I did.
In any case, God made men and women; each have an important purpose.
LOL,, so true!
They are quite serious about wanting that.
