U.S. forces have dropped what is known as the "mother of all bombs" in Afghanistan. The device is the largest non-nuclear device in the Air Force arsenal, Fox News' Jennifer Griffin reported. It was dropped in Nangarhar Province, an eastern area near the Pakistan border. It's the first time the 21,000-pound ordnance has been used in combat, said Griffin. The device, developed in 2003 by the U.S. Air Force, is called the M.O.A.B, short for Massive Ordnance Air Blast. It's often referred to as the "mother of all bombs." Watch the report above.

“...Looks like it was dropped from a C-130...”
Man do I love the C-130.
My father flew recon over the black sea, turkey, Russian border back in the late 50’s. They were Russian and Yugoslavian radio interceptors.
The 60528 plane was shot down by Migs September 2, 1958:

Due to last minute replacements, he was not on that flight.
His best friend unfortunately was. The flights would loop from Rhein Mein AFB (Germany) to Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. Rest for couple days then back again.
There was a book written about the whole shoot down incident, in fact it’s part of a whole series about US Air Force Security Service Airborne Reconnaissance.

It part of a whole series of books:

Unfortunately, it missed its target by 2067 miles.

I wonder if we picked up any radio traffic like this:
Base to Achmed, WTF was that noise?
static...
Base to Achmed, come in?
Base to Achmed, don’t blow off my call, where are you?
Static.....
Trump didn't need bombs to deal with cutthroats in the business world. As President, he's dealing with a class of bad guys who only respect force, hence the bombings, which will continue until the morale improves.
I believe, optimistically, that he indeed wished to protect this country knowing he had to stop terrorism as best he could. I will give him the props and thank him accordingly.
That does not mean he gets a pass on inventing DHS and TSA and strengthening the Patriot Act that further stole our freedom AND in 2006 gave him the wherewithal to try and pull that Amnesty Sh!t us in 2006.
The truth is that whole family are a bunch of Kennebunkport compounds northern putz’s whose children try to masquerade as being ‘All American’ somewhow.. I just don’t buy it even though I bought W’s crap twice....
I will never be fooled a third time.
Hopefully he had an amanuensis..
And can you picture Shep Smith or Rachael Madcow reporting on the expulsion from Eden? ;-)

Heres a thought . . . a hundred or two of these puppies dropped onto the clap factory in PoonTang and problem solved . . . nuff said.
I think we used Daisy Cutters at Tora Bora.
.....”I think we used Daisy Cutters at Tora Bora”....
I remember that as well...they packed a powerful punch....how would you like to see one of them dropping out of the sky aiming for you! They hear it before they see it....

Wasn’t this Korean twit using air defense weapons to execute people. Trump is talking his language. I have a feeling the twit understands.
Prior to the election, rumor had it that Putin didn't want Hillary elected because she'd start wars and Trump knew how to negotiate peace. It was a good talking point when dealing with on-the-fence voters.

(...excerpt...) At the time of development, it was touted as the most powerful non-nuclear weapon ever designed.[2] The bomb was designed to be delivered by a C-130 Hercules, primarily the MC-130E Combat Talon I or MC-130H Combat Talon II variants.
It blowed up real good.
I bet the gas mileage improved dramatically on the C-130 after it dropped the bomb.
You may be right, which I hate admitting because I had a very strong gut reaction to the news this morning.
But throw in the UN, and I have to concede the point. I spent an entire day at the UN as a guest of someone who worked there, dined in the delegates dining room, even went to a concert performed for delegates at Lincoln Center. Atmosphere at the UN building was murky with fuzzy thinking, and lots of it. Even worse, delegates from African countries that didn't even have paved streets in their capitol cities arrived late at the concert wearing $10,000 suits and even more expensive watches, with gorgeous platinum blonds at their side.
These are in no way people I want making decisions for the USA or the world.
But allow me an hour to get over the gut feeling that bombs are the wrong thing. I also had a gut feeling that Trump would become president 15 months before the election, when people here were for Cruz or Rubio or Jeb!
Woman's intuition. So we shall see.
