I watched the entire Press Conference. Worth your time.

Now that's what you call winning.

Good move inviting the Secretary to the Whitehouse.

I heard part of it. Trump sounds like he’s keeping options open. Trump: we’ll see...

I have to take issue with this: Trump: U.S.-Russian relations ‘may be at an all-time low’:
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2017/04/12/trump-us-russian-relations-at-all-time-low-after-syria-chemical-attack/100389752/

I bet there are a lot of Freepers here that remember the Cuban Missile Crisis and Khrushchev. Nikita Khrushchev literally gave me nightmares. And don’t forget the “Failsafe” movie.

So there is a a lot of room left to sink before we get that low.

I think they’re differentiating between the U.S.-Russian relations of the present, and the U.S.-SOVIET relations of that sketchy and nervous past.

Good point. At least Putin hasn’t pounded on the table with his shoe and threatened to bury us and our children, a la Khrushchev.

That’s a quote from Trump, so certainly worth reporting.

Khrushchev never threatened to bury anyone's children, not in public anyway. He said, "We will bury you", but not in a literal sense, but technologically & economically. Of course, it was all nonsense.
