President Trump has ordered his military advisers to be ready with a list of options to smash North Korea’s nuclear threat.
One of the advisers, Lieutenant General H. R. McMaster, confirmed his Commander-in-Chief has made the order as a U.S. carrier strike group heads for the region.
It is believed that among the options are combined special forces raids and pre-emptive missile strikes.
One of the problems facing an American-led operation to hit Pyongyang’s leader Kim Jong-Un is the intricate tunnel network under the capital.
War-planners have had difficulty mapping out the subterranean complex and believe there are hundreds of underground artillery and airplane sites.
McMaster described the decision to redeploy the USS Carl Vinson to the Sea of Japan as ‘prudent’ given North Korea’s ‘pattern of provocative behavior.’

The pentagon already had multiple plans in place to deal with N. Korea the day Trump took office. They have 3-4 plans for invading Canada. It’s what military planners do fer crying out loud.

I'm in that line of thinking, too. It's a standard signaling tactic to affect the behavior of the enemy. It may also be an attempt to separate fat boy from the more seasoned leaders in the military. Fat boy is all about bombast and bluster; he'll soon be faced with actually backing it up.
I just hope they have a good plan in place to hit Iran.

The Druse leader threatened retaliation against American civilians in Lebanon if the Navy continued shelling Druse villages.
BEIRUT, Lebanon, Feb. 8 - The United States battleship New Jersey bombarded Druse and Syrian gun batteries in Lebanon for more than nine hours today in the heaviest and most sustained American military action since the marines arrived here 16 months ago.
The gunfire was directed at targets ‘’in Syrian-controlled Lebanon which have been firing on the city of Beirut,’’ a Marine spokesman, Maj. Dennis Brooks, said. The shells fired into the capital had landed in Christian-dominated East Beirut, several miles from the Marine compound at Beirut International Airport.
In Washington, the Pentagon said the destroyer Caron joined in the bombardment, firing more than 300 five-inch shells. It said the New Jersey fired more than 250 16-inch shells.
According to the Lebanese Christian Phalangist radio, the American bombardment pounded artillery and missile batteries from Shuweifat, just south of Beirut, all the way to around Shtaura, 22 miles east of the capital. The radio said 30 Druse and Syrian gun batteries had been knocked out along with a Druse military command post.

You apparently don’t seem to know the difference between an acknowledged enemy of the United States and specific military plans and moves against such enemy. Maybe you think Obama is the cat’s meow, I don’t know. But Trump has made it clear he is not an idiot like Obama who would announce his military plans ahead of time so everyone would know about it. Obama did so because IMO Obama was an enemy of America and didn’t want America to win.
As is said, we have a new sheriff in town who loves America and won’t announce his military plans ahead of time. Our first taste of that was the surprise strike on Syria.
So, again, either this is more lies from the lying leftist media or Trump has more moles on his team he will have to root out.
There is a difference between acknowledging an enemy of the United States and announcing specific military plans and the timing of moves against such enemy. Trump has made it clear he won’t announce his military plans ahead of time. Our first taste of that was the surprise strike on Syria.

I don't think China would do anything, they're too entrenched in trade with the US these days. NK to China is nothing more than an embarrassing dumbass neighbor who deserves to get his butt kicked.......Besides, a total regime change in NK could possibly be an economic windfall for China. One only has to look at pictures of China's city of Dandong and NK's Sinuiju, divided by the Yalu River to see the striking differences between both countries.

NK is so closed off from the rest of the world that I'd be willing to bet that their pilots have never even seen one of our state of the art fighters or bombers, let alone what they're capable of.........
I think the good general was told to dust off existing plans and update them for the current situation.
We have all sorts of plans for all sorts of weird situations. Prior to Pearl Harbor, the US Navy had already prepared plans and gamed out every major situation they would later face in WWII in the Pacific with the exception of two, Pearl Harbor attack itself and the Kamikaze attacks.
