We’ve covered the hidden story of manipulation within Syria quite extensively. And in the example today of Chemical Weapons being used against the Syrian People, all indications do not point toward Bashir Assad doing it.
The entire event looks like an horrific operation by anti-Assad forces trying to create assistance for their regime change efforts by killing their own people. Yes, they are that desperate; and yes, there are vested interests in the U.S., including the CIA, who would support such an objective.
There is ZERO motive for President Bashir Assad to weaponize chemical weapons against his people. Assad’s forces are winning the war, Syria is more stable now than ever in the past six years, Assad has nothing to fear from a Trump administration, and using chemical weapons just doesn’t serve his interests.

The link below contains a video showing part of the rescue work with the “white helmets”. The video totally precludes any poisoning with nerve agents. All the rescue and hospital workers would have been contaminated and would have started to show symptoms.
Just to give you an understanding how poisonous these agents are, I once was at a dinner with a British lady who had worked for the British Defence Research Agency. She had been in Angola during the civil wars studying the effects of gas war. The Cubans used nerve gases. This was known by the South Africans but kept secret not ot worry the “home front”: Once this lady had visited a hospital tent where one soldier who had been poisoned 24 hours previously was lying receiving Atropine drip. The soldier coughed and a tiny speck of saliva landed on a spot where her protective suit did not cover the skin. Minutes later she started to develop symptoms and had t o receive Atropine drip next to the soldier.
You do not carry victims of nerve gas poisoning unprotected if you do not want to end up in the same position yourself.

Obama condemned the use of chemical weapons in Syria in August 2013 and planned military action, then backed off when a deal on removing them from Syria was cut with the Russians.

Could well be true - Assad has nothing to gain, while ISIS and others have a lot to gain and have done a similar trick before (AIR). Works for ISIS by killing those it does not like, while being picked up by the Know-Nothing Media and blamed on Assad.

Maybe we should invade Syria in order to keep Assad from getting weapons of mass destruction. Then we could form a democracy there! That could cause democracy to break out across the whole region!
