Our sense of smell plays an important role in how we interpret the world around us. And for people who love cats, there are few scents as welcome as the smell of the soft fur on a kitten's head.
That delectable scent is now available in a bottle. Perfume company Demeter Fragrance Library (DFL) recently announced the release of a new fragrance dubbed "Kitten Fur." The perfume captures "the olfactory essence of the warmth and comfort of that "purr"-fect spot, just behind a kitten's neck," according to a product description on the company's website.
Kitten Fur joins a range of Demeter scents that are also inspired by the natural world, including Giant Sequoia, Mountain Air, Grass, Dirt and Earthworm. But how do you bottle up the evocative scent of a kitten? [Tip of the Tongue: The 7 (Other) Flavors Humans May Taste]

I love my cats to little itty bitty kitty pieces. But I don’t make a practice of smelling them. I think I sense a dud about to happen.
I know that smell from my cat.
It’s the scented litter!!!
What is next - scent of wet dog?
Our last Cat loved the smell of aftershave and perfume ,very strange ,usually they pull away but a Cat Flavor ,LOL
My female cat loves perfume and constantly tries to lick my wrists.
Kittens!! Not smelly old cats. Puppies smell good, too. For a couple of weeks, anyway.

In my experience a healthy cat that grooms itself properly has nice-smelling fur, just as a healthy horse has a nice-smelling coat...I don’t think a perfume of either would fly, though ;-)
I imagine Hilary probably smells like Litter Box. Huma must carry a jar of Vicks and dab a little on her upper lip before she goes down.
He’s only EIGHT!!
And he’s a baby :)
Love my cat, love cuddling with him. But kitten perfume somehow reminds me of catbox aroma.
Best review I’ve ever seen of a perfume: “OMG PU”
From a book called Perfume, by Luca Turin, a perfume scientist who also termed some iconic perfume “You’d expect to smell this in a MOscow cab.”
Might do better than the “Dirt and Earthworm”
They can increase sales by marketing their product using the alternate word for kitten.
LOL!
There is a whole fragrance ‘niche’ now, of scents of unusual natural things. I remember one that’s the smell of “dirt” - by which they mean soil. I’ve never tried them, but I wonder what ‘wet garden’ and ‘mountain air’ smell like:

I’m so ashamed. Please forgive me.
