A deeply divided Senate panel favorably recommended Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch on Monday, sending the nomination to the full Senate for what is expected to be a partisan showdown and eventual confirmation.
The 11-9 committee vote for President Donald Trump's nominee, strictly along party lines, came shortly after Democrats secured enough votes to block the nomination in the full Senate. But that Democratic success was virtually certain to be a short-lived political victory, as Republicans vowed to change Senate rules to put Gorsuch on the court and score a much-needed win for their party.

True, but that is IF McConnell will require the ‘rats to perform a genuine filibuster. Who knows if McConnell has any balls?
Let them speechify and filibuster. It will be on C-SPAN and no one will watch Then bring the vote and laugh at them.
That’s not sufficient. We need that 9th Justice now NOT 3 MONTHS from now. Besides, there are other things needing to be done in the Senate other than filling this position. Tax cuts, etc.

Somewhere I saw that Schumer wants to offer not to filibuster, in return for McConnell to promise no nuclear option for the next nominee. NO NO NO!
