The Education Department said through a spokesman that the $12 million grant program was discontinued because it would not be a wise use of tax dollars, in part because the money was to be used for planning, not implementation.

Translation: all the money would have gone to "diversity consultants", i.e. payoffs to Democrat activists.

The Trump administration should take a hard look at ALL grant-issuing by all departments. Much of it is payoffs to Democrat activists.

How do you enforce “diversity “ in individual school districts? “ Take Baltimore for example. Only 28% of its residents are white and 75% of whites, mostly left wing liberals, choose to send their kids to private schools.

You could fix a lot of things if you could do that...even healthcare. Abolish all private insurance and enact a”Single Payer..Single Plan” system. Everyone, including elected politicians from the President on down, unions of all kinds,.. everybody... has the exact same coverage.

Anyone who wants to take the time to study educational literature will find that educating students takes a back seat to societal change the unelected bureaucrats have decided is good for society.

This is great!

I wonder what the status is on getting rid of Common Core and the covert muslim indoctrination in our public schools. Haven’t heard much about that.
