Getting dragged down into the unconstitutional socialized healthcare quagmire is insanity!

Posted on 03/30/2017 10:30:54 AM PDT by Jim Robinson

Bad move by Trump. Ryan and the globalist big government GOPe RINOs are the problem not the Freedom Caucus. Trump is supposed to be draining the swamp by now, not swimming in it.

Put the interest of American citizens first! Freedom not socialism and tyranny!!

Good grief! Dump Obamacare already! Should have been done on day one and we’d be way on down the road to draining the swamp by now!

We the people have been demanding a full repeal for seven long years and that's the position Trump took with his original health care goal at the beginning of the campaign. What he's doing now is madness and it's quickly destroying any chance of party unity and therefore destroying his chances of accomplishing the rest of hs agenda.

Someone screwed the pooch, BIGLY!

And someone needs to get it back on track, pronto!

This is NOT the decisive action of George S. Patton. It’s the confused inaction of George B. “Little Mac” McClellan!

Where is our U.S. Grant?

Get it together guys or we lose the war.

Trump may be dooming his son Trump Jr. for President 2024. It is very sad to see.

It has already passed in the house.

Ryan only became Speaker because the Freedom Caucus voted for him.

Period.

The Freedom Caucus only voted for Ryan because he was a better alternative than McCarthy. It certainly was not an endorsement of Ryan's policy positions.

Repeating the same deceptive arguement over-and-over numerous times, ConservativeMind, does not help us form a winning team.

Ditto what you said.

I posted a vanity a few days ago:

The House Freedom Caucus--the truth (vanity)

Now, if people here truly wish to completely repeal Obamacare, there is a method in place right now!

Representative Mo Brooks just filed a bill that completely repeals Obamacare:

FR Article post

"Effective as of Dec. 31, 2017, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is repealed, and the provisions of law amended or repealed by such Act are restored or revived as if such Act had not been enacted," the bill states.

Mo Brooks is a member of The House Freedom Caucus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Call Congress at 202-224-3121

Ask your Congress Critter to co-sponsor the bill and sign the discharge petition for US Representative Mo Brooks's bill titled, "Obamacare Repeal Act"!!!!!!!!!!!

When 212 House members sign the discharge petition, the bill will be forced to the floor for a vote!!! Then we shall see if they need to be primaried.

The bill wisely sets a timer until it is repealed: December 31, 2017. That leaves enough time to craft a brand new bill, with the countdown timer running until Obamacare is completely gone. There is no excuse for not passing it!!! Freepers: Call your Representative at the number above today!!!

If someone says "give me concessions A, B, and C, and then you've got my vote" and then you give them concessions A, B, and C, and they renege on their agreement to provide their vote, then that's "moving the goalposts", I don't care where you're from.

Surely you realize by now that the only reason repeal was ever passed was because everyone voting for it knew it would be vetoed by the President.

Funny how there's no balls for passing that bill anymore.

Congress is the swamp, and there's no way that a 25-member faction can impose their will on a majority that is unwilling to permit it.

So gridlock stays, which means Obamacare stays.

Great.

Don't hold your breath for that whimsical "repeal only"&mfdash;it won't happen with a President who would actually sign it.

When you figure out a way to magically eliminate the swamp which is 95% of the Congress, let me know—meanwhile, everybody has to live and function in the real world.

I believe "LS" and Rep. Poe, who have both asserted that the HFC did move the goalposts. As such, the HFC deserves as much blame as anyone else for this debacle.

The perfect is the enemy of the good. A pox on both their houses...

It has already passed in the house.

That was when they knew it was going no where. There is no way it would pass the house now unless they knew it would die in the senate. And it would most certainly face a filibuster there. But even if there was no filibuster, it would not pass the senate. My own senator cory gardner would not vote for it. It has to be done incrementally

Change the record already. We all know that we have been duped by Ryan. Trump has culpability here. He ran a campaign based on repeal of Obamacare. He needed to build a coalition of supporters of such legislation. If he did not have the votes from the beginning, this never should have proceeded.

Go watch “House of Cards” and see how imperative it is to have votes counted and in place before a vote and making sure that legislation will pass. If that does not happen, the majority party looks disordered and the president winds up with egg on his face.

Oh man bummer, after that glorious introduction on your part I click the link and get a 404 error! Haha

I tried to rescue it by taking out the punctuation marks to no avail. Please repost.

Dear President Trump,

I’m not really interested in blame. There isn’t much point in singling people out here, because the entire GOP is at fault.

That includes you, Ryan, the House, the Senate, staffers, everyone.

You and the GOP control all three branches.

The only thing standing in the way of a GOP success is the GOP, and everyone knows that if the GOP is good at anything at all, it’s good at standing in its own way.

We have given you all the tools you need. Use them. Or lose them.

Furthermore, no one is interested or buys into Phases 1,2, and 3 from a party who cannot even initiate Phase 1.

We don’t believe the promises of politicians.

Politicians have no credibility.

Do what you said in order to earn trust. That’s how it works.

So do it.

The root of concern for me is that we end up with something that either controls or kills (meaning both) run by whoever controls us in the future.

I have doubts about getting it done piecemeal over 8 years. It can certainly be improved but?

As you pointed out, it’s constitutional, those moral guys who put it that together were helped by God.

Obama lost a lawsuit over the federal government paying the subsidies. The appeal hearing is scheduled May 22. If Trump decides to drop the appeal then that major part of obamacare could go away, unless Ryan chooses to fund it anyway, 10 billion dollars, and the insurance lobbyists are working to that end.

As pointed out above there were NO concessions in the bill. The “goalposts” never moved. The bill never changed.
