The head of the powerful Senate Intelligence Committee warned Wednesday that Russia is interfering in the French election just as it did in the US presidential campaign last year.

Senator Richard Burr, who has access to some of the most highly classified US intelligence, said Moscow has shown a clear will and ability to disrupt elections in Western democracies.

“What we might assess was a very covert effort in 2016 in the United States, is a very overt effort, as well as covert, in Germany and France,” he told reporters. …

The opening statement from VA Senator sounds like he has made determinations before testimony. Is that how you conduct a meeting? Start with a conclusion? Is this a set up? By the way, don’t you love their concern for the masses falling for Russian fake stories? LOL That is the level of respect voters get. We’ll see what the “experts” say. I am irritated and about to turn off the TV. I would rather read about it from the Russians.

“See, Russia is interfering in France’s election (trust me on this, very classified, double secret probation, top men, harrumph), therefore you must agree that it makes it more likely that these accusations of them interfering in the U.S. election are true.”

“So what Senator Warner is saying is we are so stupid we fall for Russian propaganda. We used to be smart but now we are too dumb to be able to tell truth from fiction”

We aren’t dumb enough to not see through the fiction of this Senate Intel Committee’s agenda on Russia, however. This Committee is going to be nothing but propaganda against Russia, in order to prevent Trump from establishing a new relationship with Putin/Russia to reduce tensions between our countries.

Maybe its just that the left is not poling well in France. Remember how hacking an election was impossible and suggesting and questioning the results was unethical? did it not change on the late evening of November 9th when suddenly questioning and opposing election results became a full time jihad for leftists?

We interfere with and disrupt elections in other countries. We get their leaders to step down or be killed, e.g., the Shah of Iran, Mubarak, Quadaffi, on and on.

But it’s bad if any other country does it?

“The opening statement from VA Senator sounds like he has made determinations before testimony. Is that how you conduct a meeting? Start with a conclusion? Is this a set up?”

Warner is playing the Democrat role. To him, and his fellow Democrats, this is all about politics and not the truth.

In contrast, Burr is a RINO “get along” establishment Republican senator. He will play nice and principled in public and appease the Democrats on the committee in order to get a consensus report in the end that will either condemn Trump or be inconclusive. Obama, Brennan, and Clapper will be untouched.

And of course the U.S. and some European countries, using international NGOs for cover has NEVER interfered in domestic politics in Russia, right??

Did Burr warn the Israelis that Obama was trying to interfere in their elections when he tried to get Netanyahu defeated? Of course not. Our politicians think we have the right to mess with elections around the world, and we have done it.

Using the old bubba clinton ploy, I guess it depends on the MSM/DNC definition of ‘disrupt’ and ‘interfere’.
Have these foreign operatives ...
kept people from polling places (ala black pamper style) ?
interfered with a voter blacking in a ballot spot ?
stolen ballots to replace them with their own (ala franken style) ?

just all in the definitions I guess. When I voted I saw no russkies hanging around the polls. Before, during or after.

I think this hearing is to provide cover and save face. I doubt there will be anything revealed but both sides can move on. The problem is Dems will always have their narrative. Maybe Reps are the same.
