That Was Then But This Is Now
1. LOCK HER UP.
Donald Trump Then:
After FBI Director James Comey in July recommended not charging Clinton, Trump cited it as evidence the election was rigged and said the FBI rolled over.
He pledged to appoint a special prosecutor, and even told Clinton during a debate that if he were president, youd be in jail.
Donald Trump Now:
But after he won the election, Trump said he wouldnt recommend prosecuting Clinton, saying she already suffered greatly and that its just not something I feel very strongly about.
Trump was speaking in Grand Rapids, Mich., as part of his thank you tour when he heard some chants of lock her up - a common refrain during his campaign events.
That plays great before the election - now we don't care, right? Trump responded, according to CNN.
2. DACA
Donald Trump Then:
Opposed DACA and DAPA and called Obama's executive orders on DACA and DAPA one of the most unconstitutional actions ever undertaken by a President.

We will immediately terminate President Obamas two illegal executive amnesties in which he defied federal law and the constitution to give amnesty to approximately 5 million illegal immigrants, Trump said at an August speech in Arizona, where immigration hard-liner Joe Arpaio introduced him.

Donald Trump Now:
They got brought here at a very young age, theyve worked here, theyve gone to school here. Some were good students. Some have wonderful jobs. And theyre in never-never land because they dont know whats going to happen, Trump said in an interview with Time.
In an interview that aired Wednesday, Trump said DACA participants shouldn't be "very worried."
They shouldnt be very worried, I do have a big heart. Were going to take care of everybody, were going to have a very strong border, were going to have a very solid border, Trump told ABC's David Muir. You have great people that are here that have done a good job, they should be far less worried.

3. AFFORDABLE CARE ACT
Donald Trump Then:
As he campaigned for the White House that he declared in an interview with CBS 60 Minutes: I am going to take care of everybody Everybodys going to be taken care of much better than theyre taken care of now. More recently, Trump has promised that repeal will end with a beautiful picture.

Donald Trump Now:
The White House said Monday that President Trump is absolutely serious about working with Democrats on health-care legislation and other priorities after conservative Republicans balked at a GOP plan to repeal and replace Obamacare.
We learned a lot through this process, said White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer. If we can come up with resolution on a way to move forward, well certainly entertain that. I dont think weve seen the end of health care.
Mr. Trump criticized the conservative House Freedom Caucus for failing to support the administration-backed bill last week, saying they were allowing Obamacare to remain in place and permitting federal funding for Planned Parenthood.
Asked if working with Democrats would require a serious course correction by the administration, Mr. Spicer said, Sure.

Interesting to see the folks who barely lifted a finger to defeat Hillary Criminal now want to back seat drive the Trump admin into the ditch. How principled and conservative of you folks.
I am not happy about the Dem side of this WH..ivanka..jared..jaime gorelick...
Dina and Gary have too much power....thanks to ivanka
In my experience, News/Activism posts are usually accompanied by a link or something beyond opinion, even if they are ‘vanity.’
The only comment I can make now is that I find it curious that it is perfectly okay to pooh-pooh this President’s actions in what? A 120 days? When we sat through 8 years of an EO-issuing, EM-writing tyrant, and what may claim were actions so vile that their disclosure would create chaos.
The very last complete triumvirate of Reed, Pelosi and Ubama did was to ram through a government healthcare debacle that all of a sudden is somehow this President’s sole problem. We have work to do and it is not in allowing pre-election dispositions to flare up.
This is now and I want my damn ice cream!
At this point, as tempting as it is to “lock her up”, I am not sure that this is a good plan. Better to make her poor, rather than incarcerated. Poverty is what she fears most.
The rest is going to take time. The democRATS are going to obstruct at every turn. If by this time next year we’d have something to seriously complain about.
My two cents revolves around the fact that his enemies still hate him and rail against him.
Donald Trump is hated by the Democrats and Left as much as the inside the beltway Republicans including the fake Conservatives of the “Freedom Caucus” and Beck and Levin and so on.
The Corporatists-Globalists want to crush Russia as they seek to take out Syria’s Assad and Iran’s regime ultimately.
They see Russia as an impediment to the plans of the Sunni Muslim Arabs to put an energy pipeline through Syria.
Israel and its supporters are in the mix to nix Iran’s nuclear program.
I sense they see Trump as an impediment to their plans because he’s not on the warpath against Russia like they are.
As the foreign policy situation plays out we will see who’s in charge, Trump or the Globalists.
I’m watching.
I simply do not know how to respond to that. To call the Freedom Caucus "fake conservatives" is only rivaled by the absurdity of calling Mark Levin a fake conservative.
It was not the messenger, not Nathan Bedford, not Mark Levin, it was not the "globalists" and not the Freedom Caucus, that caused Donald Trump to break his own promises.
He supported a bill that forced vets into the VA system. He should have demanded that be taken out.
They’re starting to feel their oats again, aren’t they?
SCOTUS is top priority right now. Anything being said about other matters is a smokescreen until that is accomplished.
Or bringing up the Supreme Court nomination process is a smoke screen to cover broken promises.
Time will tell ...
It will be a big mistake not to go after the Obama/Clinton crime families. Both continue to hold power in the media and politics. We are witnessing it now.
Ivanka will pull him more to the left unless he sees that people are not going to give him a pass for breaking promises.
Make no mistake...there are two factions in the WH. Daddy’s daughter side vs Ruthless bannon.
I am against the dem side of the WH..including those that rely on jaime gorelick for advice on ethics.
Yep.
“did not break Donald Trump’s promises.”
LOL. Trump always said that the deportations would prioritize the “bad dudes” (criminal aliens). On healthcare his position was always that “everybody should be taken care of” and on the special prosecutor I believe only congress can appoint one.
Bottom line in that many of Trump’s positions have always been non conventional but many of us decided to put that aside because we believed that he was the only candidate that could beat Jeb and then Hillary.
Trump buried the Bush and Clinton dynasties in a single year. Ted Cruz was roadkill.
