That Was Then But This Is Now
1. LOCK HER UP.
Donald Trump Then:
After FBI Director James Comey in July recommended not charging Clinton, Trump cited it as evidence the election was rigged and said the FBI rolled over.
He pledged to appoint a special prosecutor, and even told Clinton during a debate that if he were president, youd be in jail.
Donald Trump Now:
But after he won the election, Trump said he wouldnt recommend prosecuting Clinton, saying she already suffered greatly and that its just not something I feel very strongly about.
Trump was speaking in Grand Rapids, Mich., as part of his thank you tour when he heard some chants of lock her up - a common refrain during his campaign events.
That plays great before the election - now we don't care, right? Trump responded, according to CNN.
2. DACA
Donald Trump Then:
Opposed DACA and DAPA and called Obama's executive orders on DACA and DAPA one of the most unconstitutional actions ever undertaken by a President.
We will immediately terminate President Obamas two illegal executive amnesties in which he defied federal law and the constitution to give amnesty to approximately 5 million illegal immigrants, Trump said at an August speech in Arizona, where immigration hard-liner Joe Arpaio introduced him.

Donald Trump Now:
They got brought here at a very young age, theyve worked here, theyve gone to school here. Some were good students. Some have wonderful jobs. And theyre in never-never land because they dont know whats going to happen, Trump said in an interview with Time.
In an interview that aired Wednesday, Trump said DACA participants shouldn't be "very worried."
They shouldnt be very worried, I do have a big heart. Were going to take care of everybody, were going to have a very strong border, were going to have a very solid border, Trump told ABC's David Muir. You have great people that are here that have done a good job, they should be far less worried.

3. AFFORDABLE CARE ACT
Donald Trump Then:
As he campaigned for the White House that he declared in an interview with CBS 60 Minutes: I am going to take care of everybody Everybodys going to be taken care of much better than theyre taken care of now. More recently, Trump has promised that repeal will end with a beautiful picture.
Donald Trump Now:
The White House said Monday that President Trump is absolutely serious about working with Democrats on health-care legislation and other priorities after conservative Republicans balked at a GOP plan to repeal and replace Obamacare.
We learned a lot through this process, said White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer. If we can come up with resolution on a way to move forward, well certainly entertain that. I dont think weve seen the end of health care.
Mr. Trump criticized the conservative House Freedom Caucus for failing to support the administration-backed bill last week, saying they were allowing Obamacare to remain in place and permitting federal funding for Planned Parenthood.
Asked if working with Democrats would require a serious course correction by the administration, Mr. Spicer said, Sure.

Sure..whatever you say

Trump himself did an AMA on r/The_Donald. If he or his staff was paying close enough attention to FR to be reading all the comments on the Trump-critical threads, wed have heard about it.
Paul Ryan set the schedule of House legislation.
Trump tried to ditch on Ryan’s plan and get on with tax cuts, budget cutting etc.
But he got dragged back into it.
I still suspect that Ryan is holding our economy hostage. Trump can’t get anywhere with the senate leadership. Ryan appears to hold all the cards at the moment.
But for Trump to make a broad, far-reaching smack at conservatism in general the way he did with that tweet — he NEEDS to CLARIFY or apologise.
Bol. Thanks for the clarification.
There is a real war going on from so many sides..now Ryan comes out and says to POTUS.. Don’t work with the Dems.
Corker comes out and basically says Shame on you, Ryan.
Perhaps he did not read your reply #89 in which you quoted: Speaking of Freedom Caucus, this just tweeted by Trump:
The Freedom Caucus will hurt the entire Republican agenda if they dont get on the team, & fast. We must fight them, & Dems, in 2018!
and if it couldn’t get anymore weird..now we have this

For the umpteenth time, ‘we,’ doesn’t mean ‘me.’ I haven’t heard about it. That doesn’t mean someone else hasn’t.
How many times do you need me to explain this?
I said...SURE WHATEVER...you don’t have to keep posting

When you post the exact same thing over and over and over, it’s known as ‘trolling.’
Please stop trolling me.
Thank you.
All I did was quote Trump's own words, you might want to rethink who is the active agent here.
I do not see why Trump should not trust the Congressional leadership, after all they were doing exactly what he wanted: Rino Care = Trump Care.
If Russia is so adamantly opposed to Islamic terrorism, why, oh why are they paving the way for Iran to get a nuclear bomb?
All the talk I quoted was spoken by Donald Trump, perhaps you are sorry for the wrong person.

...and you are a sterling example of that.
Just like Ted Cruz, you aided and abetted the Enemy.
At least Ted Cruz has stopped doing so...
[Grin.]
The ‘golden snitch’ post was mainly about someone making a personal insult against someone else.
I sometimes ‘bully’ people into being civilized no matter which side someone is on.
The way I look at it [after calming down] is that Ryan is still holding the economy hostage. He wants to pay off his insurance monopoly cronies or else he can sabotage tax cuts, etc.
Please recall that Trump tried to wash his hands of this mess and move on to discuss the economy. Now he’s back in the quagmire.
This is a post-election cycle, not a campaign cycle.
I believe I may have to steal this because that one statement hits precisely what I feel is happening.
No need to say ‘steal’, FRiend. I think it’s a maxim. Others have posted it over the years.
A very handy concept.
FRegards ....
