I don’t know the final answer to what Russia’s intentions are.
Their interests in having trading partners and buffer nations are real enough.
Do they want Iran to have nuclear weapons, only they know?
The one thing I feel certain of is an Arab-Israeli under the table alliance linked to the Arab Spring rebellions, conflicts etc....
It will confront Syria and Iran first but later on its likely to unleash a ‘two-state solution’ for the Palestinians and expel Jews from homes in Judaea and Samaria to achieve it.
