This is developing! It is more than a rumor as the source is known to me and is credible.
I admit I haven't yet validated everything. But I am asking Freepers to help catch any news, social media, credible scuttlebutt on the firing of Comey.
As an aside, I have wondered if it was Dan Coates who called or texted Nunes to meet up at the EEOB.
Whoever made the call to Nunes caused him to bolt from the Uber and disappear.
It wasn't an unknown underling.
Two patties from a cow pasture?
Maybe some of the Dems on the intel committee were involved somehow with the surveillance on Pres. Trump & his team....
Involved, as in helping whoever was doing the spying.
Didn’t the 3 IT Bros work for some of the people on the Intel committee?
Looks conservative and not way out there. First time I've seen it. Anyone else know about this site? Contact info is in Rhode Island.
For weeks I’ve opinions run the gamut from “Trump can fire Comey any time, there is precedent” to “Trump absolutely cannot fire Comey unless he’s committed a crime.”
I hope someone reading the thread (hostage maybe? Other?) knows for sure. A lot of opinions are held by people who sound very confident, yet they can’t all be true.

Sheriff Clarke and Trey Gowdy
From the Republics earliest days, Congress has had the right to hold recalcitrant witnesses in contempt and even imprison them all by itself. In 1795, shortly after the Constitution was ratified, the House ordered its sergeant at arms to arrest and detain two men accused of trying to bribe members of Congress. The House held a trial and convicted one of them.
In 1821, the Supreme Court upheld Congresss right to hold people in contempt and imprison them. Without this power, the court ruled, Congress would be exposed to every indignity and interruption, that rudeness, caprice, or even conspiracy, may mediate against it. Later, in a 1927 case arising from the Teapot Dome scandal, the court upheld the Senates arrest of the brother of a former attorney general carried out in Ohio by the deputy sergeant at arms for ignoring a subpoena to testify.
Heres a dc that goes into more detail. None of these steps were taken by Gowdy or anyone for that matter even when held in contempt or failing to produce evidence as in the case of Lois Lerner.
Checked with source Benghazi committee over, sorry.
Thanks for the history lesson, bigtonna.
Good find. I wonder why I couldn’t see it. Looks like it’s either an up and coming site or maybe a front for disseminating fake news. Even a fake news site needs to publish true stories to maintain an air of believability I would think.
On the TV show called Homeland I just watched they had these things called ‘Troll Farms’ with a bunch of people on computers trying to stir up trouble. Paid trolls are nothing new but this troll farm was something I hadn’t heard of before. Of course they casually said they were all connected to the... wait for it... Russians.
I thought about it afterwords! Dummy is still smoking. I quite chewing that day. Good thing was it happened at work and he works for the local hospital!
Good catch.
Looks like they will be in the clear. Follow like know. I would post the story but am on my phone and can’t.
Hope someone will post this breaking story from Circa.
Follow like know should be follow link. Sorry.
Comey replaced by Sheriff David Clarke
Ryan replaced by Trey Gowdy.
Comey is no LEO, either. Hell, he’s more a corporate lawyer than anything else, playing both side of whatever fence is in front of him, in order to keep the paychecks coming.
At least with Gowdy, as a prosecutor, you’re dealing with the cops, the victims, witnesses, perps and you better know the law and procedure. Federal court isn’t some rinky dink, state courthouse or some city courtroom. Not just anyone can show up in federal court and try cases.
Am I saying that Gowdy walks on water? Nope.
But, at least he’s been in a position to see what actually takes place during a criminal investigation and all that is needed to successfully prosecute one. With the Feds, if it isn’t rock solid, then they don’t bring into a courtroom. They don’t want to risk having the perp walk. They’ll even present the actual material to mock, Grand Jury’s and Trial Jury’s, as a practice run. If the mock juries don’t convict, then the Feds are told to get back to work, to get more evidence.
Looks like they will be in the clear. Follow like know. I would post the story but am on my phone and cant.
Hope someone will post this breaking story from Circa.

Obamas rule changes opened door for NSA intercepts of Americans to reach political hands
http://circa.com/politics/barack-obama-changed-how-nsa-intercepts-of-americans-like-donald-trump-could-be-shared
As his presidency drew to a close, Barack Obamas top aides routinely reviewed intelligence reports gleaned from the National Security Agencys incidental intercepts of Americans abroad, taking advantage of rules their boss relaxed starting in 2011 to help the government better fight terrorism, espionage by foreign enemies and hacking threats, Circa has learned.
[ ]
Some intercepted communications from November to January involved Trump transition figures or foreign figures’ perceptions of the incoming president and his administration. Intercepts involving congressional figures also have been unmasked occasionally for some time.
The NSA is expected to turn over logs as early as this week to congressional committees detailing who consumed reports with unmasked Americans’ identities from their intercepts since the summer of 2016, and it is likely to become a primary focus of the Russia counterintelligence probe of the House and Senate Intelligence Committees.
HM, McCabe has been called out by George Webb on YouTube. George is an extraordinary Israeli-American investigator. He has a team of investigators he leads.
George had some sort of altercation with McCabe in the past. They don’t like each other, or as George tells it “McCabe treated me very poorly”.
McCabe has been witnessed in the day following Flynn’s firing to say “We eff’d Flynn, next we eff Trump”.
Please take the time to come up to speed on George’s Youtube reports.
Since the Awan brothers (Pakistani spies) fled back to Pakistan, George has been putting out about 3 reports each day. He’s now up to Day 156. It’s a lot to absorb but George does go back on some things so that people can get onboard with the developments and keep up. It involves a long history of illegal drugs, body parts, terrorism, coups, massive spying, and so many other horrors.

George also ties Dennis Montgomery in as well. Dennis Montgomery = 1000 x Snowden.
Please invest a good hour on this raw video:

You won’t regret it. As you absorb this info, everything with McCabe, Nunes, Montgomery, Awan, and so on will come into sharper focus.
