Trump certainly isn't the first politician to lie, but he's made a reputation of it for a couple of reasons. One, he lies a lot. And two, when he's called out, he handles it poorly. Here are a few things you shouldn't do when you're called out in a lie, unless you want to make things worse.
We've all lied about something and been called out on it. When I was 14, for example, I lied to my mom about wearing makeup. When she found my concealer, what did I do? I completely denied it was mine, which, of course, only made me look even more like a liar.
Politicians are a little different, of course. They lie strategically, and many of Trump's supporters have even indicated that they flat out don't care if he lies. Still, our current administration acts a lot like a 14-year-old who just got busted for wearing makeup. Instead of fessing up to the mistake and moving on, they just keep lying. Even though he gets away with it, Trump's lies don't exactly help his approval rating, now at a new low. Here's where they've gone wrong and what you should do instead, next time you're caught in a lie.

Can you explain why they have let Jaime Gorelick into the WH with advising both Jared and Ivanka in the West Wing. I don’t understand it.
Is she really that great of an attorney that no one else could do the job? She is advising Ivanka’s Trust among other things.

Yikes! Jamie Gorelick has an advising role in this White House?
After her illustrious history, she should have earned a lifetime job turning big rocks into little rocks. Maybe she was just in the wrong places at the wrong times - but her hands were involved in a lot of activities that resulted in harm to America (and not just the 'Gorelick wall' fiasco) - and at a minimum I'd keep her far away from Government. Unless she has wants to turn State witness.
Her causes are liberal. I didn’t vote to put libs in the West Wing. This Gorelick thing is really hacking me off. She is going to be advising the two closest people to Trump...besides Melania.
I suspect that Ivanka has far more pull than Melania in political matters.
American Thinker has Gorelick connected to Soros. Soros invested money in one of Josh Kushner’s projects. Josh Kushner is one of the Trustee’s of Ivanka’s new Trust...with Gorelick as an advisor to the Trust.
