Check out this quote from FBI Director James Comey’s testimony to Congress today:
“…It’s perfectly legal for someone attending a classified briefing to LIE TO THE PRESS about what they heard in that meeting. The FBI cannot go out and correct the record because then they’d be “commenting on Classified information…”

I think I read something frm Victor David Hanson re an enemy that doesn’t know it is defeated is more dangerous. The Dems don’t acknowledge that they lost which means their craziness is, in their twisted minds, warranted because of their fictional story that the election was “stolen.” This isn’t new for them, they always claim victimhood in order to justify unethical/illegal “redress.”
I think they are trying “death by 1000 paper cuts.” Today the Dummicratic Underground website features a breathless story saying republicans (e.g., republican strategist) close to Trump says he’s delusional and paranoid. The article carefully notes that there is no provision in the constitution AT THIS TIME that allows a president to be removed for mental health reasons. I think they will now agitate for legislation to fill that hole. I imagine that effort will be more subtle (Not “Trump is crazy! We need this legislation STAT!” but “Should a prudent nation address an oversight known to exist in the constitution to protect the office of the president for generations to come? Isn’t it more like we’d need a greater reason NOT to enact this critical new amendment). They will work on frightening people to the point of “vote of no confidence” AND they will agitate for legislation to create the terms they “need” to topple a president they don’t like.
For the life of me, I don’t know why Comey is still there. Is it that he is left in place so he can’t attribute his failures to anyone who takes over for him. Like cashiers at grocery stores who pick up the till tray full of money and take it to the office when they end their shift because they are going to be held responsible for the contents? Once you pull Comey out, then everything that has gone on will be falsely attributed to “lies and damned lies” by the new administration? Freak claims of fabrications etc.? I dunno....
This is what got Hillary off the hook for Benghazi.

If so, aren’t they conveying information(and thus breaking the law)? Might you now know what definitely did not happen?

Any presidential appointee can be fired by the president and that includes Comey and his 10 yr appointment.

I do think all of Washington republicans have been blackmailed into silence - hence the kitten like behavior while Obama trashed our country. The massive programs to collect information on everybody would certainly support that. Sad to say that all could be blackmailed - but maybe one or two were “clean” but were presented with Deep State fabricated fake evidence and were thus neutered?
Is it hearts-and-minds approach that leaves Comey in place? Or blackmail? Does Trump want the trash to float to the surface while Comey is on watch so that once fired, Comey’s words are more accurately understood to be sour grapes because otherwise, if let go now, the public would see Obama’s administration saying “A” and then being replaced and Trump’s administration picks saying “B” and the public may conclude that the victor creates the fake reality (one is not more truthful than the other). With Comey in place when the wheels come off, might the public conclude the truth surfaced and on Comey’s watch in spite of his efforts to conceal? I know, lame idea but I really can’t figure this one out with any sort of confidence so I’m going for straws now.
Dems want Comey to stay there to protect them so he can’t flee even thought he really can’t expect to survive politically for the next four years. Wouldn’t Comey want out? But he’s left with his finger in the dam?
I think it is #2 as Trump gave that big hug right after the ignaugration. Why is another question. Comey was not a hell today. Need them to bury the Russian story once and for all and then the wire tap thing can fade and maybe we can get some work done
