Donald Trump’s private legal team is weighing a case against MSNBC and reporter David Johnston for leaking his 2005 tax forms on television this week.
As reported earlier Rachel Maddow stepped on a rake earlier this week by releasing Trump’s 1040 tax return form from 2005.
Rachel’s attempted hit piece enlightened the country that President Trump paid millions in taxes; he paid a higher tax rate than Socialists Barack Obama and Bernie Sanders.
The Hill, which is no friend of President Trump, reported last night that what Rachel did may be illegal – “Disclosing a taxpayer’s information without consent IS ILLEGAL.”

Good. It’s about time folks went for the MSM’s jugular!
If they don’t then it invites everyone else to do the same, and in fact to anyone.
Both of them broke the law, and there’s no way they can deny it.

(3) Other persons
It shall be unlawful for any person to whom any return or return information (as defined in section 6103(b)) is disclosed in a manner unauthorized by this title thereafter willfully to print or publish in any manner not provided by law any such return or return information. Any violation of this paragraph shall be a felony punishable by a fine in any amount not exceeding $5,000, or imprisonment of not more than 5 years, or both, together with the costs of prosecution.
Lock them both up.

He should also sue that fat bastard for publicly claiming Melania makes money from doing “sleazy porn.”
Considering that the information was published on national television, Madcow, Johnston, and the individual producers of the segment should all be fined and imprisoned. And yes the producers, they knew it was illegal and could have cut the feed but chose to air the information anyway.

The forfeiture is miniscule but the 5 years in prison will cause them to lose their jobs, pay the fine and the prosecution costs, plus their defense costs ultimately coming out of prison as a known felon. What could be better? GO FOR THE THROAT!!!!!
If there was any justice in the world Trump’s fortune would double from legal cases against such people.
But didn’t Trump release it himself before they did? Wouldn’t that mitigate against it being illegal?
I would sue their asses so hard, they couldn’t sit down for a month.

Didn’t we go through this already? What about the partial tax return from the 1990’s somebody waved around that gave rise to the “he might not have paid taxes for 20 years!” crap. Nothing ever came of that.

Why would that matter? It’s the act of releasing them that’s the crime, and Madcow and Co. made it clear that these pages were “leaked” to them.
