Thursday on the radio, Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin gave the rundown on the press conference of Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisc. (F, 51%), in which Ryan tried to give the hard sell to Americans on the Republican American Health Care Act "reform" plan.
Levin called Ryans proposal repeal in name only." Or, if you will, RINOcare, because the GOP plan keeps the core of Obamacare in place.
Levin had a number of questions for the speaker, questions that so far remain unanswered.
Now, heres my question Mr. Ryan, Levin said. How much will the average Americans deduction go up, or down?
Further, Levin asked, how much will the federal government be spending on subsidies for certain individuals? Will individuals be able to see the doctors they want? The specialists they need? Will individuals be able to go to the hospital of their choice? Will they be able to get the medicines they need to get?
At the end of the day, the problem with RINOcare, Levin explained, is it embraces the Lefts assumption that government involvement is needed to make health insurance affordable. It embraces progressivism; it embraces centralization.
Republicans have blown it, Levin said. "There is something horribly immoral about RINOcare."
The senate is full of dems and RINOS. A more conservative bill has no chance in the Senate. Trump is supporting the bill because he knows this is all he can get.
Much better bills have passed both houses at least once and if I recall, a few times. Why the retrenchment now?
This bill is proof that the GOPe never wanted to repeal 0bamacare, or even modify it very much.
We can do much better. No bill is better than a disaster.
While railing against Trump every night, as has continued. Sorry, saying, “I’m voting for the son-of-a-bitch!” is not exactly an endorsement. His behavior was de facto support for Hillary. Maybe if he could be rational and constructive, he could have had President Trump’s ear and could persuade him on issues such as this. But, he’s too big of an infant to ever realize he’s marginalized himself.
The problem is the senate. They don’t have the votes. You need to read up on it.

RINO-Care is Crony-Baloney

They don’t have the votes for this monstrosity in the Senate.
They hve gotten better bills through before.
Well I guess the issue for you to reconcile is whether he turned more people away from Trump than he may have convinced to vote for Trump after he lambasted him for several months. Figure that out and you will have the answer to your question.
I contend he dissuaded far more votes than he converted to Trump with his foxhole conversion.
How about you and your friends conduct a MODICUM of research and independent thought (https://goo.gl/sfW0NM; https://www.conservativereview.com/commentary/2017/02/levin-breaks-down-whether-the-media-is-really-the-enemy-of-the-people; http://bit.ly/2mNMKBt).
Levin and ALL the ppl you folk deem as “Enemies of da republic” simply seek to be intellectually, politically and humanly HONEST — calling Trump out when he does very troubling, un-conservative things and praising Trump when he does GOOD. Is that SUCH an OUTRAGEOUS idea?!???!
How about you and your friends conduct a MODICUM of research and independent though
Interestingly, your kind was no where to be found as “The Great One” smeared and depressed support for the only person who could stop POTUS Hillary and her Constitution destroying SCOTUS for MONTHS on end post GOP convention. How principled and conservative of you Levinites to be AWOL during a historic election.
You are being intellectually dishonest while attempting to project your intellectual superiority. And no better than our local Putinistas who twist themselves into pretzels to defend Putin. I find the Holier than thou “principled conservatives” to be totally without clothes after their selfish conduct in 2016.
TBP is the dean of never Trumpers on FR. He has been against the President since candidate Trump announced the Muslim ban.
Follow the money.
MKJessup has exposed “the voice of Paki/Khalistan” a few times as did others.
Levin is right on this. Period
levine’s a dickwad.
Ha!
That's a disingenuous statement. From the day Trump announced, everyone including all the corrupt D.C. insiders, the media, Hollywood and academia. Trump had/has all the right enemies.
He was up against a bus load of professional insiders while they colluded with the media. And Trump blew them all off the stage. In the real world the was not only an electoral landslide but the biggest historic upset of all time.
Ya keep moving the goal posts. Nearly 2 years ago he was the "billionaire bozo", "A stunt that wouldn't last 2 months". All the experts said so! Obamba publicly announced, "Trump would never be President." A close election?
Bottom line, for someone to comment that it was a "close" election, is clearly doing their best to undermine and discredit what Trump did.
Levin was a never Trumper until the last minute and was still criticizing him during the election when a Hitlery win would be devastating. Screw him. I have to believe he was responsible for at least some conservatives not voting for Trump. Screw him. He showed his true colors. That is fine you still love him.
Yes, he did support cankles, but without implicitly endorsing her ...
Not true ...he was a neverTrumper one day , and the next day he would back away ...he bounced back and forth daily and did as much damage as he could do without losing any more audience than he already had ...Levin is a big phony
es but Paul Ryan is just pure evil
But we should not support a skank like levin. The swamp includes ryan, levin and TBP.
So I don’t care who asked the questions, I am just glad they are being asked...
Frankly, just because I agree that Levin asked some good questions does not mean I am “supporting him”...
And Levin was obnoxious throughout the primary and part of the general, but he did not endorse Hillary and did actually throw his support to Trump in early September.
