Credit Suisse is a stock rating entity which generates a sliding scale for future stock valuations based on evaluations of brand sentiment. The scale runs from -100 to +100 with zero as a hold or take no position recommendation.
Back in January Starbucks announced they were going to stand in opposition to President Trump; and to display their virtuous immigration bona fides they announced their intention to hire 10,000 refugees as employees in lieu of current American applicants for employment.

Their coffee is crap. And I worked at a ‘gourmet ‘ coffee house years ago. I was known as a ‘server’. Not a pretentious ‘barista’.

Tell us how you really feel? :)
This is great but I wouldn’t pay whatever the #### they pay there for coffee in a million ####ing years anyway.
BUT SISTERS AND WIFE AND AUNTS ARE COSTING THEM THOUSANDS A YEAR.
My one sister gave out starbucks gift cards left and right. No more.
as for all the womenfolk in my family, you’re talking a hundred cups of coffee a week (big italian family) or more, plus the bags they buy to bring home.
To lazy to do the math but they’ve lost maybe 40k from ONE FAMILY!
Good. #### em.

Oh, that’s just because so many people are going into Starbucks now that it’s too congested and they leave without buying anything.
Seriously, that’s what the told investors.
Howeird’s leaving on April 3, so things will probably tank after that.

This is one of the interesting problems that Starbucks has run into as it tried to settle into Germany. This gourmet coffee ‘taste’ simply didn’t sell well. If you walk into a regular cafe or German bakery shop....they had fine coffee at regular prices. It didn’t make any sense to hype up Starbucks because it’s just regular coffee, for a higher price.

Of course a boycott would work. There are great coffee shops everywhere. I would like to boycott Costco also, but for me there is no substitute for their gas and TP.
