Trump correct, FISA court granted wiretap on Trump Tower Under Obama Administration
Gateway Pundit ^ | March 4, 2017 | Lucian Wintrich

Of course the news of the morning on the political talk shows, stated that Trump did it again! He gave a great speech, then threw it away with absurd allegations of Trump tower being bugged! Thanks to Chris Olsen for this information!! They stated that there are only 2 ways to legally wiretap anyone, one is with a court order by a judge, and the other is a FISA warrant. They said (all of them) that this did not exist. The truth, and they should know this by now, is that there was a FISA courts filing approved under the Obama Administration, which resulted in no findings. Here is a link to prove Trumps statement.

Since it was probably electronic signal interceptions, technically there was probably no wiretapping.

They will be using that lame excuse.

It’s a working hypothesis. It seems logical but it may or may not be true. More importantly, possibly, it’s a highly plausible narrative. key word: plausible.

Does he really have to have a warrant?

50 USC 1802 (a) (1) says the President , through the Attorney General may authorize electronic surveillance without a court order to acquire foreign intelligence information for periods up to a year......

It has criteria involved but we know Barky wouldn’t have followed it anyway.

So, did Lynch and Obama do this without a FISA warrant?

Been watching the DUmp the last 24hrs and that is exactly the progression of their jabbering. Now we need to verify if zero really is in Dubai.. they had to wait a whole month for him to surface for one night in NY ten days ago and may not see him again.

It’s just one step past the unsealing of permanently sealed divorce records for polictical purposes.

Yes, every Democrat and Obama Kool-Aid drinker should be asked that question. Need wording that elicits only a yes or no answer and puts them on the spot. Let’s get them all on the record.

Who cares? He abandoned his followers. We can remove the appointees when they take the fall.

We know they applied for a FISA warrant initially and were denied. Then they applied again in October and the warrant was granted. We do not know what was done between those two events. Obama could have invoked the special needs clause and proceeded without the warrant though his surrogates have claimed he didn’t initiate the initial FISA warrant request. We also need to remember that the Bush’s are known to have extensive ties inside the intelligence community and this kind of thing is right up their alley.

<< President Trump did not say that a FISA Court ordered a wiretap, he said that Obama wiretapped.

Therefore, there was no court order and the wiretaps were illegal. >>

What the news isn’t saying is how the FISA law allows the president to begin wiretapping as soon as the application is completed, then continue the wiretapping during the appeals process if the application is denied. (I am getting that information from an article that floated around here yesterday from 2012).

That means Obama could have been legally wiretapping Trump beginning in June all the way through inauguration day, using FISA as his cover story the entire time

As I interpret this, the entire purpose of the FISA court was so Obama and Hillary could wiretap Trump and leak the stories all summer and fall, not to actually investigate Russia. Then when Hillary lost, the “Russia hacked us” was refined to explain her loss, explain the wiretaps, and cover their tracks.

One variation that includes what you said above is if Obama wasn’t going to appeal the 1st FISA rejection and decided to just order the wiretaps on his own. Then when they realized Trump might actually win, they got the FISA order as a last-minute cover. The problem with that scenario is that it wasn’t necessary because according to FISA rules, they could continue their surveillance all summer while crafty an appeal/2nd application.

On another note... I’m laughing hysterically that Trump now has everyone in a multiplayer chess game, and they have nowhere to go!

1. Obama can’t explain the leaks of FISA-obtained intel; it was either top-secret info about Russia or it was useless, irrelevant info about Trump that was required by law to be destroyed and never disseminated. Bam!

2. The lib media were caught off guard yesterday with the tweets. The regulars were at home asleep, then all hell broke lose. No doubt many people were called at home by the weekend crew, who were panicking on what to do and what to say. All weekend we’re getting to watch their histrionics as they try to get on the same page. And add to that the (IMO) fake display of Trump’s anger Friday night as he “stormed off to Mar a Lago” without Bannon, only to meet up with Bannon and Sessions later at MAL. I now think that’s what happened Friday afternoon because it’s now apparent that Sessions’ recusal was well-planned in advance. There was no reason for Trump to be raging at his advisors and staff!

3. Congressional GOP just had this dumped in their laps to investigate. Why? He has the power to declassify the FISA orders and everything else, laying it bare for all to see, and let Sessions begin indictments. Instead, Trump will use this as a further litmus test to sort the wheat (GOP Trump loyalists) from the chaff (back-stabbing Never-Trumper globalists). Congress doesn’t know for sure how much Trump already knows, so they’ll be forced to stay honest in their investigation or Trump will be twittering us and we’ll be storming the doors of the traitors, demanding to know why they’re lying.

Are we tired of winning yet?! No!

Thoughts, anyone? Maybe I’m missing something and giving our President too much credit? Personally, I am enjoying the heck out of his political acumen. A good metaphor (in a sick sort of way) would be watching a cat play with his food before eating it. I detest mice, and I detest Obama, the lib media, and the GOPe traitors in Congress.

Sic ‘em, Mr. President. Show NO mercy.

It seems suspiciously timed. I’ve heard it was in the media’s hands back during the summer. I don’t have the opportunity to look at all the timing, but isn’t that around the time the first FISA application was made?

A FISA warrant, even if one was in fact issued, does not make wiretapping legal IF 1) The warrant was obtained through perjury or some other fraud on the court; or 2) If the scope of what was obtained exceed the scope of the warrant.

Yes, I think the Russian story was invented to get the wiretaps, which would win the election, and the Russian story could just then evaporate.

Except they lost the election.

So, now, the Russian story had to be made to bear more weight than it could. And, at that, it came close to working.

Now (hopefully) Trump will use the powers of his office to get it all on the record. We do not know how much fake evidence was presented to the FISA court, or how much was created before 11:59 am on 1/20/17. That remains to be seen.

I wish I trusted the congressional GOP more than I do.
