<< President Trump did not say that a FISA Court ordered a wiretap, he said that Obama wiretapped.
Therefore, there was no court order and the wiretaps were illegal. >>
What the news isn’t saying is how the FISA law allows the president to begin wiretapping as soon as the application is completed, then continue the wiretapping during the appeals process if the application is denied. (I am getting that information from an article that floated around here yesterday from 2012).
That means Obama could have been legally wiretapping Trump beginning in June all the way through inauguration day, using FISA as his cover story the entire time
As I interpret this, the entire purpose of the FISA court was so Obama and Hillary could wiretap Trump and leak the stories all summer and fall, not to actually investigate Russia. Then when Hillary lost, the “Russia hacked us” was refined to explain her loss, explain the wiretaps, and cover their tracks.
One variation that includes what you said above is if Obama wasn’t going to appeal the 1st FISA rejection and decided to just order the wiretaps on his own. Then when they realized Trump might actually win, they got the FISA order as a last-minute cover. The problem with that scenario is that it wasn’t necessary because according to FISA rules, they could continue their surveillance all summer while crafty an appeal/2nd application.
On another note... I’m laughing hysterically that Trump now has everyone in a multiplayer chess game, and they have nowhere to go!
1. Obama can’t explain the leaks of FISA-obtained intel; it was either top-secret info about Russia or it was useless, irrelevant info about Trump that was required by law to be destroyed and never disseminated. Bam!
2. The lib media were caught off guard yesterday with the tweets. The regulars were at home asleep, then all hell broke lose. No doubt many people were called at home by the weekend crew, who were panicking on what to do and what to say. All weekend we’re getting to watch their histrionics as they try to get on the same page. And add to that the (IMO) fake display of Trump’s anger Friday night as he “stormed off to Mar a Lago” without Bannon, only to meet up with Bannon and Sessions later at MAL. I now think that’s what happened Friday afternoon because it’s now apparent that Sessions’ recusal was well-planned in advance. There was no reason for Trump to be raging at his advisors and staff!
3. Congressional GOP just had this dumped in their laps to investigate. Why? He has the power to declassify the FISA orders and everything else, laying it bare for all to see, and let Sessions begin indictments. Instead, Trump will use this as a further litmus test to sort the wheat (GOP Trump loyalists) from the chaff (back-stabbing Never-Trumper globalists). Congress doesn’t know for sure how much Trump already knows, so they’ll be forced to stay honest in their investigation or Trump will be twittering us and we’ll be storming the doors of the traitors, demanding to know why they’re lying.
Are we tired of winning yet?! No!
Thoughts, anyone? Maybe I’m missing something and giving our President too much credit? Personally, I am enjoying the heck out of his political acumen. A good metaphor (in a sick sort of way) would be watching a cat play with his food before eating it. I detest mice, and I detest Obama, the lib media, and the GOPe traitors in Congress.
Sic ‘em, Mr. President. Show NO mercy.
That was sweet, wasn't it.
Thoughts, anyone?
Reinforcements were called in..."explanations" be damned.
Somebody was tipped off on what was coming.
The question is...was it deliberate in advance to see the reaction or just more Trump trolling?
Well said Nita. No Quarter!
