A former policy adviser to President Obama is firing back at President Trump's claim that Obama wiretapped Trump Tower, saying it didn't happen — at least not under Obama's orders.
"No President can order a wiretap. Those restrictions were put in place to protect citizens from people like you," Ben Rhodes tweeted Saturday morning.
He also said "only a liar" could make the case, as Trump suggested, that Obama wire tapped Trump Tower ahead of the election.

Barry's "Justice Department" full of judges he appointed can order and a wiretap of if Barry suggested a wiretap it would be packaged up all nice and "legal" within the hour and running soon thereafter.
I was wire tapped back in the 1990’s by a very unscrupulous QAE on a federal contract. Small town in AZ. He was friends with Ma Bell technician. I was the Federal Contractor.
Unfortunately for this idiot, when his phone rang mine did as well. All done in a Central Office covering the town.

DOJ doesn’t order wiretaps. The FISA court does. DOJ requests the wiretap.
Trump was imprecise with his words, once again. Twitter does not help in that regard.
Rhode’s non-denial is merely a tautological exercise.

One of the talking points throughout the Obama years was that the Department of Justice is independent of the President.
That’s false. The president appoints the Attorney General and the AG reports to the president. The Department of Justice is not independent of the president, it is part of the Executive Branch which the president has the duty to run.
Or legally release terrorists from Gitmo, or legally divert public money to Hamas, etc. etc.

I think it’s clear that we need an investigation into the activities of the prior President!!! If he was actively planning to take down the incoming President this is tantamount to treason.
All of these agencies getting information about “Russia” and now this? It sure seems like enough evidence to have a formal FBI investigation. Obama should be brought before Congress to testify under oath.
