Thanks. As for links, i have been up all night skimming quickly. what i posted were somewhat in the form of quick notes to myself to try to make sense of everything that seemed to be unfolding. I don't recall exact links but it was just cumulative checking of stuff already out there and my contemporaneous and somewhat bleary first impressions. No worries, I think we will all learn a more complete story by tomorrow morning at the latest.

Yes. That is part of the Great Surmise that Trump is playing chess while his political opponents are playing checkers. Trump is part salesman and part showman. It's easy enough for him to avoid being viewed as just another politician since in fact he's just been a private citizen up until the election last November. To me, part of his MO is withholding his cards until the optimal time to play them. Maybe that is why there seem to be a few gaps in the narrative at this moment. I do have a feeling that this deliberately leaves the MSM and the liberals at a disadvantage for the time being. trump is artfully controlling the narrative which imho is a leadership skill. A leader can abuse this skill, of course. However, as long as trump seems to be going in a positive direction, i have a tendency not to mind it too much. i am absolutely aware of the potential pitfalls. and this imho is why character matters.

Thank you for this explanation, this is what I have been looking for since this broke. This is what creates real legal jeopardy for Obama and his team. If they received a narrow warrant only for lines to the Russian Bank, then tapped all of Trump Tower, including Trump’s office and residence, they were operating without warrant and illegally. And that would take them down.
For the past EIGHT EFFUN YEARS everyone in DC said “they didn’t have enough evidence, time, support, etc etc. WELL NOW YOU DO!!! DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT BEFORE ITS TOO LATE, WILL YOU PLEASE!!!!

.... Since a FISA sanctioned wiretap cannot be directed at a US facility WITHOUT probable cause that the phone lines or internet addresses were being used by agents of a foreign power. It was obviously the communications with Russia that was used as an excuse for the so called “Probable Cause.”

Not everyone at the FBI is an Obama loyalist. Maybe someone there felt that the BS has gone too far now in trying to take out Sessions and has enough evidence to start outing their superiors as co-conspirators.

Meanwhile people can learn more about the FISA courts which I gather from reading about them in the past is a rather specialized set of knowledge for the typical voter, and even for lawyers. In another thread they are referred to as kangaroo courts, so there is some controversy about their use.

Why is that odd? Do ya think U.S. spooks are unable to wiretap telephone communications? And since Trump became POTUS, do you think it's possible he has access to intel data? And I think the article said, he "Just" found out.
Former federal officials, including ex-presidents, can be impeached. If found guilty, they are stripped of benefits and ineligible to hold further public office.
Maybe a deal could be worked out a Obama and GW Bush could both b impeached and convicted.

Looks to me like Trump and/or his team found out about the FISA order -well why wouldn’t they? Trump is the administration now!-and Trump’s doing what he does best. Messing up all their plans with his tweats.
Now I see why they were delaying appointments and nominations that seemed so ordinary. Also, here’s a thought, I understand Barack Obama better for what’s gone on AFTER he was President and I am enlightened.
For President Obama was a community organizer and he made no secret of it. We all knew he was this community organizer thing but what the hell, it seemed harmless enough.
Now AFTER Obama leaves office...well when he was president he was King....a notch above community organizer. He could command whatever he wanted and because he was in charge, he got it.
Now he has to go against the grain and yes, it’s alarming out here in la-la land where we carry this country on our backs. Cause we are learning that America too can be commanded, controlled and cheated.
