In the view of the Department of Homeland Security’s intelligence wing, anger over the election of Donald Trump, reflected in protests across the country, is a driving force in “domestic terrorist violence,” according to an unclassified report obtained by The Intercept.
The conclusions, laid out in a February 21 report prepared by the North Carolina Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAAC) and DHS’s Office of Intelligence & Analysis (I&A), come amid a series of controversial post-election efforts by Republican lawmakers to criminalize protest.
Focused on North Carolina, the six-page document “was written in response to a spike in violence and criminal acts — including an arson attack — targeting political party offices and staff that occurred prior to of and immediately following the election” and sets out to provide “an overall threat forecast for the first half of 2017 concerning like activities in the state.”

Women read the articles, not knowing they were fake, as neuropsychiatrist Dr. Daniel Amen gathered quantitative EEG assessments.
The findings supported results of a functional MRI study recently published in Nature Scientific Reports, which showed how challenging a person’s political beliefs could activate the parts of the brain associated with emotion and self-identity.
A self-described liberal woman in our social experiment reported feeling sad after reading a fictional article on illegal immigrants, but revealed stronger irritation and anger when processing a fake story about a jailed climate change researcher. Simultaneous changes in her brain activity were also much greater when processing the climate change story and correlated with a strong emotional response of angst and fear.
A conservative woman demonstrated opposite reactions. For her, the article on illegal immigration elicited changes in brain activity changes that you would see during a physical threat.
The women were not told that the articles were fake until they were seated on stage. What happened next was startling. First, the women understandably, but awkwardly, tried to defend why they believed the false stories, rather than expressing frustration that they had been duped. This natural human tendency was highlighted by one woman’s comment that while the news was fake, it reinforced a truth she felt about our country—so the piece was tolerable.

They don’t mention an act of terrorism nor do they define “domestic terrorism violence”, yet make that leap.
Noted in the report is: their level of confidence in all aspects is medium.

(U//FOUO) We have medium confidence in our assessment that malicious cyber activities in the first half of 2017 directed at government networks will likely continue at a similar rate but will be more focused on criminal rather than political aims as it is based largely onon our judgments regarding the goals of cyber actors as SMEs on the topic; these judgments have been corroborated by DHS IIR reporting that is deemed credible by other cyber experts.

No one in my circle wants any violence in the world, we’ve experienced it first hand, yet still prepare and train daily to counter it as it presents itself if at all possible be we together or alone ..... we can never stop it. We can only mitigate the damage. Efforts to see it coming are a 24/7 task. Awareness of threats at all levels be they immediate and local or worldwide and imminent is a life skill that is elementary to survival.
That said Homeland Security, without a boogie man, does not earn they’re budget, titles, authority and toys.
Some threats are embellished, fabricated and fantasy . We have to separate the wheat from the chaff per se and keep such panic factories on leash. Our responsibility. Not some pandering polidiot or professional liars I call presstitutes .
People, ordinary everyday citizens be they left or right of the political center must wise up and not be used by handlers with agendas as social experiments.
Decide for yourselves, your family, your community and our country.

How long has anger been causing protests? Just since a Republican was elected. My anger at obozo didn’t cause me to riot and destroy other people’s property!
The man caught for phoning in all of the bomb threats against Jewish synagogues and organizations was fired by “The Intercept” last year for false reporting.
I guess this leftist organization still has the same type of employees.
