George W. Bush on Trump presidency: 'I don't like the racism'
The Washington Examiner ^ | February 27, 2017 | Caitlin Yilek

Former President George W. Bush is criticizing President Donald Trump's first month in office, though he remains optimistic about the future.

"I don't like the racism and I don't like the name-calling and I don't like the people feeling alienated," Bush told People magazine.

"Nobody likes that."

.
.
.
"I didn't feel like speaking out before because I didn't want to complicate the job and I'm not going to this time. However, at the Bush Center we are speaking up."

The Bush Center programs include immigration ceremonies, AIDS prevention programs in Africa and leadership training for Muslim women.

Got to get a laugh at how holier than thou the Bushes think they are. They really think highly of themselves and are shown to be just unclassy, treasonous, and bad character. I despise this man and family so much now.

>>In retrospect Gore might have been better for the country.<<

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

That is harsh ... but W. Bush gave us:
1. Iran as a world power
2. Iraq as its satellite
3. Financial collapse of 2008 (with bailouts)
4. Attempted amnesty for illegals
5. Soft on Islamism
6. Prescription Drug Bill with Ted Kennedy
7. Accelerating deficits
8. Deep State agenda
9. President Obama

***Wow. Speaking up now? Not a word in eight years? President Trump must be making the NWO nervous! Good***

What do you expect from a President who started a war with a country because they”threatened his daddy.”

I always despised them, and it was never hard to figure out how much of a tool W. was, and don’t forget it was his father who introduced us to the idea of the New World Order.

“I guarantee you 95% are Trump folks today”

No doubt. A lot of them got the zot because they were outspoken about the border and Bush’s love of amnesty.

Another failed Bush playing the race card. Them most evil traitorous family in US history. I said many years ago that Bush would deceive the US like no other.

Don’t forget John Roberts. Republicans always nominate one goober for every good justice while every Dem since Kennedy gets a hundred percent Bolshevik every time.

It was a great speech.

The widow was a reminder of what war does.

All of that plus the American Dream has been dead for me since 2008.

Just surviving those pre-2008 and post-2008 disasters has been tough. From time-to-time I hear from other FReepers who had to fight similar battles.

Wow, what a change.

and to think all the decent posters zotted here over the years after being hounded by Bushbot harpies

There should be an effort extended to all those still alive

An apology and a hearty invitation to return

How I wish they could have been here to see this! So many we lost. It’s a sad vindication, wardaddy.

I remember when we were all on W’s side. Such a relief to see him in the WH after the Clinton years. After 911, we all wanted to go to war with Saddam.

Then, I was awakened at 5:00 a.m. by the sound of hundreds of planes flying overhead…(I lived near huge navy air base). Ran downstairs, turned on the TV and heard myself shouting, No, No, No as the news came on….my heart, my soul, inner being, whatever you want to call it knew this was a terrible mistake. We’re still reaping the effects.

(NOT saying that ISIS is our fault, but that the Middle East is a crazy place with a culture we cannot possibly understand. My daughter spent a few years there a decade ago, enjoyed certain cultural things, like the beauty of Damascus. She told me, “They’re very nice people, warm and welcoming, but in their hearts they all want us dead.)

So, boo hisss to W. And hooray for Trump
