It depends on how one defines keep. Donald Trump argued against Barack Obamas unilateral actions on immigration, including the DAPA and expanded DACA programs, both of which got put into limbo by federal courts. When asked in last weeks press conference about DACA and the so-called dreamers children brought into the country illegally by their parents Trump replied that his immigration policy would show great heart in those cases. Today, CBS reports that Trumps new immigration policy keeps DACA in place.
Or perhaps better put, it doesnt explicitly eliminate it:
A source with knowledge of DHS planning said the documents are being finalized by the White House and could be released as early as Monday. It was originally scheduled to be released late last week.
One provision would direct the immediate return of Mexican immigrants who are apprehended along the border back home, pending the outcomes of their deportation hearings. The new procedures would allow for authorities to seek expedited deportation hearings.
The memos do not overturn the Obama 2012 immigration action that created the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. DACA has deferred deportations for people who came to the U.S. illegally as children and has provided work permits to more than 750,000 immigrants.

Actual signed copies of these orders were posted elsewhere in the press several days ago. And this report matches at least what was said in them.
I didn’t know a question could constitute news?
Trump was very clear on 60 minutes.. we will have to work something out with the dreamers.. clear as a bell. You will accept his dreamers.. o and likely pay for them too.
Not a chance!
Fox business is reporting essentially the same thing saying that the DACA protections will remain in place.
DACA expires after two years. Then it MAY be renewed.
Everything I’ve read and heard relates to current registrants. I’m betting Trump fazes out the program entirely as he works through his immigration policy.
IIRC, DACA runs out in 3 years....so at that point...who the hell knows what happens.
Focus on the criminals first.
Pray America woke
I think a reasonable thing for these selected people is to give them, say, five years to either get their citizenship or hone their language skills and make arrangements to return home so the argument about it being so terribly disruptive, etc is gone. Probably also an extension in return for military service or something. But instant deportation if convicted of a felony regardless of age or circumstance.
But we'll have to wait and see what he does.
If Trump does not end Obama’s illegal DACA program soon, it becomes Trump’s illegal DACA program.
Not Fake news channel, FOX, said Trump plans to keep it FOR NOW. Let’s get the criminals out first. Besides, most of the criminals being rounded up are gangbangers, aka “Dreamers”.
150 new illegal aliens per day are being given work permits. DACA is still operating as if it were law.
Rumor has it ICE is raiding business in Hazleton PA this week.
that stinks! i guess no politician ever delivers most of what he promised
but thanks for info
That would be reasonable. Those who've already registered, let them stay until the permission expires. Then deport them....it's what they agreed to. If DJT didn't do that, the cases would probably being through the courts that whole time, possibly with a worse outcome. I'd hope they don't allow any more DACA registrations. I'd also hope that anyone who commits crime or depends on handouts has their DACA revoked and is deported.
JMHO
And it doesn't meet his FIRST priority...criminals.
We're very impatient because of the media. Too slow....too fast....
You get stopped...you don't get to run loose (and not come back), they wake up the Town judge and it's done.
The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program cannot make them legal, it just defers their removal.
They are still illegal aliens, and cannot join the military or apply for citizenship.
No....the matter is STILL in the courts and it’s got Obama’s name on it.
