Meanwhile, McCain continued his attacks on Trump this morning comparing his actions to a dictator. The Hill reported:
Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.) ripped fellow Republican Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) on Sunday after McCain criticized President Trumps escalating war of words with the media.
He argued that the nation is very lucky that Trump is president and not McCain, who won the 2008 GOP nomination but lost to Barack Obama in the general election.
Paul said that McCains recent criticisms of Trump are driven by his personal dispute with the president over foreign policy.
He added that McCain and Trump are at odds because McCain supports the wide deployment of U.S. troops to protect and promote American interests abroad while he characterized Trumps views as closer to a realpolitik approach to foreign policy.
Everything that he says about the president is colored by his own personal dispute hes got running with President Trump and it should be taken with a grain of salt because John McCains the guy whos advocated for war everywhere, Paul said on ABCs This Week.

One of the very few times I can completely agree with Rand Paul.
Because he's been bought and paid for by the arms industry and the Saudis.
Very nice catch. Thanks. Linda Graham ALERT!
Enemies within.
Songbird McCain - still singing to the enemy.
No one on FR posts a positive thing about this man..hated as much as reid and..pelosi
Well, McCain is a Rat in all but name.
“McCain the warrior and McCain the politician.”
McCain the “warrior” crashed five navy jets.
McCain the “politician” continues his crash efforts.
Can’t understand why Arizona voters keep electing one of the Keating Five, a creature whose mind & body were irreparably damaged by his Vietnam POW experience. I’m convinced McCain’s advocacy for American involvement in numerous wars is so that, in his twisted thinking, his captivity can be vindicated.
The Media is trotting out GOPe/Bushies this morning who agree with McCain.
So far, Rand Paul is the only Republican who has the stones to condemn John McCain.
McCain the warrior being a qualification for foreign policy expert is like taking a guy off the kicking squad and putting him in charge of the NFL. He knows how to play football, but doesn’t know how to run football.
Word!
Regardless of the type of service he gave in his “warrior” days, it does not justify the overwhelming overshadowing of those days by his disastrous performance as the “statesman.”
What we are talking about here is two completely different people, IMO.
That is the truth.
Possibly McCain is shooting for another monument to fill out his legacy. He’s got one in Hanoi. Maybe Soros or the Dems will put one up in SF, LA or some other commie stronghold.
I personally don’t understand why being a senator, even on the foreign relations committee, supposedly makes one an expert. They all seem like idiots to me.
Misery loves company. Many miserable people try to make others miserable.
Agree.....in my state, Georgia, people and the media always touted Sam Nunn as some kind of Defense Expert. But his experience was always political. Never in the military, but spent 24 years in the Senate, blah, blah, blah.....
He saw Georgia was going Red and got out and he took every Trustee and advisorship he could lay his hands on in academia and bidness, what not. Hasn’t done sh!t for Georgia except feather his bed since he chose not to run again. Unless you want to count him helping to try and elect his mousy daughter to the Senate....
For once, I agree with Rand Paul! The Dixie Chicks of the Senate, McNuts and Grahmnesty, need to somehow get gone!
