Good evening, radu....it’s been snowing for an hour. No clue what the weather report is anymore. They can’t decide what it is ghoing to do.

Heavy hallucinations this evening, but I think I have her settled for now with a Taco Bell taco salad and the news on TV.

Yes, we have daffodils blooming around the yard and there’s some kind of tree that has tiny white blossoms, like pear blossoms, that’s starting to bloom in the area. Grass and weeds are also growing and spitting out pollen.
Poor Jade is allergic to the same things I am, apparently, because her little head is stopped up again. Poor cat.

No crocuses on the farm but I noticed a few tulip clumps are sprouting now. It won’t be much longer before the fruit trees bloom and from there, everything else goes crazy.

Buy stock in Kleenex. I’ll make ya rich! LOL

Yes, I noticed it had started snowing up there a little while ago. I try to remember to check the cams close to sunset because the mountains are so pretty that time of day. No mountains in sight this evening!

Bummer the hallucinations are so bad today. Maybe she’ll stay settled the rest of the night.

BING CROSBY: “WHY CAN’T YOU BEHAVE?”

Bing’s own career was entering an eclipse, but his radio show bravely soldiered on. This tape is from a 1949 appearance. That’s Buddy Cole tickling the 88s.

I love the way daffodils seem to multiply over the course of a year when they re-bloom.

What crops you going to be growing this year?

ELLA FITZGERALD: “WHY CAN’T YOU BEHAVE?”

Ella usually set the standard with her perfect diction. This 1956 recording features Buddy Bregman backing her. It’s a bit lush and quite different from Frank’s minimalist approach. I might give this one to Frank.

One good thing about daffodils and other bulb flowers is they do multiply and they’re low-maintenance. Likey lots! LOL! I don’t like stuff that has to be worked a lot to keep them looking nice. I do need to make the effort to dig some up, though, because they’ve gotten so crowded not nearly as many bloom these days.
There are several varieties that Hubby’s mom and aunts planted over the years and they bloom at different times. We’ll have daffies blooming for the next couple of months.

This year will be a corn year. Right now we have winter wheat in the fields but it’s not for harvest. Not enough money in it. It’ll be plowed to fertilize the soil.

I agree.

Even though Ella’s voice IS sublime, I really didn’t need the “Thousand Strolling Strings” LOL!

Buddy Bregman's approach for Ella was overblown.

Axel Stordahl's approach for Frank was on the money, which was a surprise. Axel usually was the one with too many violins.

If you’re going to the blues, do it right! Bessie Smith would have loved this.
