The much-publicized deportation of an immigrant who had been living illegally in Arizona prompted the Mexican government on Friday to urge its nationals in the United States to take precautions amid a new reality for the immigrant community.
The expulsion of Guadalupe Garcia de Rayos, a Mexican citizen and mother of two U.S.-born children, illustrates the new reality of the Mexican community living in the United States in the face of more severe application of migration controls, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
The ministry urged its citizens to stay informed about immigration matters and keep in touch with the extensive Mexican consular network in the United States.
However, Mexican authorities acknowledged there is little they can do to slow deportations or counter other get-tough immigration policies of President Trump.

We should adopt Mexico’s immigration laws.
I like them and how could either Mexico or Mexicans object to what their very own country is doing?
Here’s a link highlighting Mexico’s immigration policy.
Mexicos Immigration Law: Lets Try It Here at Home

Well that didn’t take long and it’s certainly better that the Mexican government telling its citizens how to get welfare benefits and vote in the US.
I remember what 0bama and Kerry didn’t do.
We must understand that they are not immigrants, legal or illegal. They are Mexicans; they do not want to be Americans. They love Mexico and are loyal to Mexico; their culture is Mexican, their language is Spanish.
They are illegal aliens who are in the United States, cynically taking what they can.
They are abetted by leftists in government that hate America, who will align themselves with anyone they perceive will dilute the American identity.
Like if some illegal family broke into your home, came in through the window when you were out. Then they demand you feed them, take care of their medical needs, educate their kids, etc etc .... and it just infuriates me that they come in and start demanding and liberal cities roll over for them. Deny them anything and they’ll self deport; and Mexico tells them how to get what they need here for free.
“We should adopt Mexicos immigration laws.”
Put a in reciprocal agreement in the renegotiated trade deal with Mexico, along with benefits and rights. US citizens should have equivalent and reciprocal rights in Mexico as Mexican citizens have in the US.
This actually would be a big positive for Mexico. More US citizens would be more willing to vacation, work, do business, invest and retire in Mexico.
We may have to close some of those consulates. They are conspiring to violate US law and allow Mexicans to steal US public funds.
The Mexico government’s interference with US immigration and domestic policy is an act of war. They either immediately accept back 100,000 of their own citizens every month - and pay for the wall - or America should shut the Mexican border entirely. No people. No trade.
Bottom line is that Mexico is a hostile entity that is trying to help criminals continue committing their crimes without interference.

Exactly. Well said!
Picky, picky! /s
This is a very bad idea which will only drive the illegals to look for ways to send money which are not taxed. The obvious beneficiaries would be the drug cartels who already have methods of illegally transferring large sums from their customers in the US back to Mexico. Just open the pipeline a little wider and, behold, they are now in the banking business. Exactly the outcome we don't want.
Instead, something much more reasonable, like a 5% tax, might produce grumbling in the illegal community, but is a small amount for the assurance that the other 95% of the money will get there. The tax must be small enough that the cartels will not find it profitable to provide an alternative service. Otherwise we just strengthen the criminal element.
The Spanish are still exploiting native Mexicans even after all these years and Guatemalans are doing the jobs Mexicans won't.
That has a nice ring to it.
There has been a cultural war going on in Mexico for generations.
“Instead, something much more reasonable, like a 5% tax”
You need to read the IRS regulations regarding lump sums of untaxed funds. If you hit the jackpot in Las Vegas, the casino is REQUIRED to remit 50% of your winnings to the IRS. It is then up to you to file your tax return and let it be the determinant in exactly what you owe. The Drug Cartels are a separate issue, and denying Mexico half of the amount of all remittances would put a serious hurt on their economy, which is what we need to do. Frankly, I don’t see the cartels getting into the wire transfer business. There are already a bunch of them around beyond Western Union. All you have to do is drive by a Mexican market, they have signs up offering to send “envios a Mexico!”
Immigrant my ass, L.A. Times.
This criminal is an illegal alien who committed identity theft, a fact conveniently ignored by the liberals.
Send her anchor babies back to MEH-HE-CO, too. Birth right
citizenship needs to end.
You have to say it in Mexi, though: El-GTFO-Oh
“Be on the lookout, but don’t forget to wire your cash back to the folks back home in Mexico.” Mexico reaps billions every year of US wealth that gets sucked out of our economy that way.
