Time to break up the 9th with some legislation.
In case of a loss on this issue, can Trump make other orders which are similar? Can he ban all immigration in the interestof National Security?
My guess is that they will kick it back to the judge. More delay.
My reason....They don't want to be put down by the Supremes.
Despite that, I do have a respect for the Carter-appointed judge that heard this case. He has the right temperament for a judge; the Obama one is a huge hack.
They could send it back to Robart as he did not really make a rule on the law. He just expressed his feelings. However I expect the ruling to come down 2-1 in upholding Robart’s ruling.
The answer better be: Yep, President Trump has the authority. Robart, shut up.

Signs in the past couple of days seem in a general way to point to a ruling against politics and on the side of law and order. But the number of posters here thinking otherwise probably means they will go political.
Strategically late in the day. I’m sure they have their reasons. Maybe by then, most the judges will have been safely chauffeured home to their locked condos.
Wow! If this isn’t political or what?! announcing a timeframe? How convenient when everybody’s home from work! Or am I wrong? I don’t remember the circus footing out a timeframe before...they usually just come out with a ruling and blurred out morning, lunchtime or whenever the hell they feel like it and that’s it!
Robart didn’t even have a case. He brought it all himself. What the hell is up with that ?
