ollowing a scathing speech against Trump's nominee for Attorney General, Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell said Senator Elizabeth Warren had "impugned the motives and conduct of our colleague from Alabama," violating the so-called 'Rule 19'. By a vote of 49-43, Senator Warren was then barred from speaking on the floor until Senator Sessions nomination debate is complete (likely tomorrow evening)....
McConnell defended the decision, noting Warren had been warned.
"Sen. Warren was giving a lengthy speech. She had appeared to violate the rule. She was warned. She was given an explanation," he said after the vote. "Nevertheless, she persisted."

In MA, if the 'pubs run an impressive candidate, they'll win. Keep in mind Warren didn't win that seat, Scott Brown lost his way. So, she'll win if the 'pubs run an insider...ex: Romney, who Deplorables won't support. But in the mean time the likes of her and Al Franken are willing to sink dems from states that voted for Trump?
I'm hoping that after Al Franken's disgusting insult tirade against Sessions and Cruz in the committee hearing, Mitch McConnell and the rest of them finally decided to aggressively get these confirmations done. Especially Jeff Sessions. Trump seems to be at his best when his core of loyal supporters is at his side. President Trump needs Jeff Sessions, for his legal expertise, lifetime of accrued wisdom, and knowledge of how the Senate functions, at his side.
What we're watching is insane. Why read a book or go to a movie when this is playing out before our eyes? In my mind, it's an epic attempt to save civilization.

I’ve been thinking the same thing — an embarrassment to Alaskans. I lived there for a long time, and if any group of people would benefit from better schools it would be the kids in bush villages.
What I don’t get is that we know she’s been bought by unions, she knows we know, she still flaunts it, and doesn’t have the decency to be ashamed.

What pisses me off is that the GOP continue to be so sickeningly polite to these people. Orrin Hatch was saying how much he “loves” everyone in the Senate. “My distinguished” so-and-so. His “condemnation” of Lie-awatha was so sweet it’s surprising everyone didn’t fall in to diabetic coma.
Rubio was a little stronger, but not much.

I heard on the radio this morning that the 30-year old letter she wanted to read from King was 100% repudiated. None of the things she accuses him of in the letter turned out to be true.

In the Senate, Elizabeth Warren was censored for the inflammatory, gratuitous, dehumanizing vitriol of her remarks against a fellow Senator ( Sessions), when speaking in opposition to the nomination of Jeff Sessions for Attorney General. Rule 19 was invoked.
Warren cannot speak at any time on the floor of the Senate in the continuing Sessions nomination process.
Warren was basically told to sit down and STFU. Love it!

It’s spiritual warfare, and it isn’t in Satan’s best interests to leave a free, Christian America standing. We pray so much for Good to prevail, but I wish it weren’t such a struggle.
I think the other side knows that if/when Sessions is in place, they’ll be exposed for far more evil than we can even imagine. Many RINOs, too.
