In a series of nine tweets over the weekend, President Donald Trump defended his executive order temporarily suspending immigration from seven terrorist-infiltrated countries, and he slammed the federal judge in Washington State who temporarily blocked the order, calling him a so-called judge in one of his tweets.
The liberal media seized on that remark.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), asked if he had concerns about Trumps comment, told CNNs State of the Union on Sunday, Yes, I think it is best not to single out judges for criticism. We all get disappointed from time to time at the outcome in courts on things that we care about. But I think it is best to avoid criticizing judges individually. [ ]
I mean, the courts are going to decide whether the executive order the president issued is valid or not. And we all follow court orders. The administration is following the court order, as I understand it. And the courts will ultimately determine the validity of it. Let me just say, I think proper vetting is important to the American people. But there is a fine line here between proper vetting and interfering with the kind of travel or suggesting some kind of religious test. And we need to avoid doing that kind of thing.

Trump has the last word since he can simply stop issuing new visas.
Trump is entirely correct.
Robart’s order is devoid of reasoning. It reads like a high school moot court text.
You can be a federal judge making hundreds of thousands a year for garbage like that? Countermand a Presidential directive?
The guy is a pathetic pinhead, a vapid Seattle twinkie completely in over his head. There’s no reason to accord him respect simply because he was mistakenly given his position.

Then why didn’t you call for after 9/11 or during the amnesty debate with the 2007 amnesty bill that was almost passed?
McConnell is a huge part of the problem! What is it with the Mc’s? McNuts, McConnell, .....
I'll put it in other words....This man is a judge....Is this how Judges operate...a decision without facts?
In the meantime the constitution erodes further.
Of course Mitch thinks those immigrants are all citizen candidates for public office so that the religious test applies. Is he a numbnutz sometimes or what?
He also says he’ll not support funding the voter fraud investigation.
He is speaking a lot against the President now his wife has been confirmed.
hey Mitch FU, no more of being nice and patient.
“........And we all follow court orders.”.....
Sure Mitch, we all know how honest you claim to be. If you hadn’t cheated to get re-elected, you wouldn’t be able to spout off your “holier than thou” comments. I hope when Pence roots through the voter fraud issue, they find that YOU YOURSELF are the recipient of voter fraud.
That’s right, Mitch...ANYTHING to keep you from having to MAKE A DECISION,
Coward!
He had no problem making decisions against Reagan in the 1980s.
Bitch is dead flat on his a$$ when to comes to his Conctitutional Duties. It is his resoonsibility to legislate such that Judges can’t misinterpret. Apparently legislation is needed to kepp this Judge on the straight and narrow.
I fully expect him to vote against them if they ever were put into a bill.
You are spot on correct.
The Courts have changed the Constitution almost beyond recognition.
Your “co-equal” “superior” remark is correct. The media say Trump is trying to delegitamize the judicial branch, Horse hockey.
I’ve been screwed over by more judges and more times than I can count. See my tagline.
Undoubtedly.
The guy is a twerp. Wears a bow tie to the bench? How quaint.
Just another librarian, got a law degree because it was better then 3.40/hr in the Redmond library system, which is all he’s qualified to do.
But we should all remember who the real villains are here: Bob Ferguson, the whack job far left AG of Washington and his counterpart in Minnesota.
The absurdity of either State being “harmed” by a ban on travel from middle eastern countries is too obvious to debate. It’s quite the opposite, and the idea that the populace of those States would be concerned about it is even more absurd.
The same Bob Ferguson went after the Arlene Stutzman over queer marriage and selling flowers. He’s the worst of the worst.
Imagine what we could accomplish with about 500-1000 mini-Trumps.:)
It’s rare to obtain more Justice than you choose to afford.
