Jeff Sessions advanced in the Senate today to becoming our new Attorney General. All that is left between Sessions and being Attorney General is the final vote in the Senate for final confirmation. Once Sessions gets in, the fur is going to fly! The democrats know this, and they have done everything possible to bar Sessions from confirmation. They used an obscure rule to delay Sessions vote, which was supposed to happen Tuesday. Democrats on the committee gave lengthy speeches opposing him, triggering a rule that doesnt allow the panel to be in session for two hours past the state of the Senate day. However, it looks like their last-ditch efforts have failed.
Next, some great news, President Trump told Rep.(R-Utah) Jason Chaffetz of the House Oversight Committee he was doing a great job and to keep it up. Chaffetz is in the process of investigating Hillary Clinton, so it sounds like he is free to do what needs to be done. Chaffetz was so excited with what President Trump told him, he told everyone. Someone asked him if he was going to investigate Trump, and he said absolutely not. Below is the video of Chaffetz sharing the good news with his colleagues.

I think it was a joke.
I ageee.
“a joke”
You’re probably right. It’s hard to know these days.
Doesn’t sound like Trump intends to pull out the Executive Privilege card too often.
A kid in a candy store.
Whores in churches arent all that nervous anymore since they allowed lesbians to lead the church.
I think I’m about to wet my pants laughing in how much fun it will be disposing of Obama’s people in the REAL Department of Justice
they are not Catholic, but seriously granted the Catholic church needs to work on things for sure. I’m Irish Catholic.
Then the last dem spolke. That's Al Franken. His tirade was so mean-spirited, so accusatory, that I'd say there's no walking back what was said. Any cooperation with dems should be through, since the other dems didn't comdemn the character assassination Franken spewed. He not only directed his venom to Sessions, he also accused Cruz of all sorts of vicious things, and finally 'pubs on the committee objected because Cruz wasn't in the room. Franken kept going. The things Franken said and the accusations were so bad that every single Republican seemed to stand shoulder to shoulder in support of not just Sessions, but Cruz. (And they don't even like Cruz)
I thought it had a silver lining. Franken over-reached and even the most weak-kneed 'pubs might finally get it together and fight the evil from the other side.
That's my take, anyway. Does anyone else have an opinion about what happened?
De Vos. Sessions vote will be needed for De Vos vote unless McConnell/Trump can get Manchin to confirm.
Might need Sessions and Pence
Never Trust a Democrat
Am still trying to put pieces together.
But that sound similar to parts of what I’ve heard
When that phrase was coined, whores were nervous in church. Yes, the times have changed. :)
Yep, she’s done.
I’m not sure.
:)
Indeed. ;>)
