GOP changes rules to push through nominees after Dem boycott

Senate Republicans pushed through a pair of President Trump’s Cabinet nominees Wednesday, upending standard committee rules to circumvent a Democratic boycott. The Senate Finance Committee advanced a pair of Trump’s nominees with only Republican members present — Steven Mnuchin to head the Treasury Department, and Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) as secretary of Health and Human Services.

Excellent. They set aside the normal rules to deal with obstructionism.

It means that they will go nuclear on the Scotus pick if they have to.

Democrats would do exactly the same thing, so they have no grounds for complaint.

It was Dingy Harry who demolished time-honored Senate protocol to advance the liberal agenda.

If the democrats spent as much time on the things of the people instead of boycotting anyone that President Trump put before them then there would be something done for the good of their state that elected them.It seems to me the people of those states should think twice before voting for these trouble makers ever again.
