Former first daughter Jenna Bush Hager shared her thoughts on President Trump's controversial immigration ban on Tuesday, saying "this is not the America I know."
"The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam. That's not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace," the NBC News correspondent said in a letter she shared via Twitter. "These terrorists don't represent peace. They represent evil and war." AdChoices
The Trump administration stands by the ban that they say is in place "to protect the American people from terrorist attacks by foreign nationals admitted to the United States."
Former President Barack Obama released a statement on Monday, joining both Democratic and Republican voices opposing Trump's travel ban. In his first statement since leaving the White House, Obama's spokesman said the 44th president was "heartened by the level of engagement taking place in communities around the country."
She is more than welcome to leave.
The America Jenna Bush knows is private schools, designer clothes, lavish taxpayer funded vacations, shopping on 5th Avenue, and Secret Service protection. She is so disconnected from Main Street that she is likely sincerely more afraid of the average person in Texas than a jihadist - because she’s never met either and the jihadists get better reviews from the Fake Media.
One would expect her to know better than to say that. She witnessed the threats and carnage to this country first hand during her dad’s tenure and should know that the threats are worse now.

I voted for President Bush, and always thought that he was a good president for his time. But I’ve had second thoughts in recent years.
Islam - as it is obviously practiced on the world stage today- is NOT a ‘religion of peace’; and protecting ourselves from potential terrorists, in whatever ways are possible to us, only makes common sense.
