Almost two-thirds of federal employees voted for Hillary Clinton during the presidential election, according to a new survey.
The poll also found that six of 10 felt that the election itself gave Americans a negative impression of federal service.
So it may come as no surprise that some federal employees are considering leaving their employment when President-elect Donald Trump assumes office.
More than one in four federal workers, or 28 percent, will definitely or possibly consider leaving their jobs after Jan. 20 when Trump is sworn into office and becomes leader of the executive branch, according to the survey conducted by the Government Business Council and Government Executive, which both track the trends of the field.
Half said that Mr. Trumps business experience would hinder his management of the federal government while almost two thirds believe that his business relationships pose a conflict of interest. Both points are also popular narratives within the Democratic Party as well.

Good. Doubt it will happen.
Ha!
Fake News. Federal employees are grossly overpaid compared to the private sector in most cases. Also private companies have learned that govt emplyees are lazy and usually incompetent. No way are these time servers going to quit and choose between cooking fries or no jobs at all.
Damn, you beat me to it......You're fast, real fast!
That may not be true tho, my experience with unemployment claims while working for my last employer, it's up to the employer to contest the granting of unemployment once the claim is submitted to the employer.
I sincerely doubt that such oversight actually takes place in the public sector anymore........
I hope it is a lot more than that. Those jobs could be easily filled by veterans.
And they expect us to react negatively?
Bwahahahahahahahaah!
They can always go to other institutions which require little talent.
Like public schools and lib arts departments in universities.
(Yes, I know there are good folks in both areas, but the few bads are really smearing the many goods.)
The swamp will drain itself!
I would imagine that many meet basic retirement eligibility and may well pull the plug. But I doubt that others that can’t retire won’t leave. Where else could they find a job unless in a relatively high demand occupation?
I would look for a surprising exodus, however. But as a real threat to the continuity of government? Nah and good riddance.
Woo hoo! It’s like when the illegals self-deport!
Like they’re going to give up surfing porn all day...
And goes a long way in "cutting the size of government", without President Trump having to fire them. :-)
28 percent may quit? We can only hope.
Yeah...and they’ll head to Canada too. Sure.
Good start. I would prefer triple that number. Keep the military and fire everyone else.
There IS a chance; the cut off your nose to spite your facers do things like that!
xlnt
May? BS. NONE of those that said they would leave the US ever has. None. Not during Bush and not for Trump. None of the fed employees are going to give up their cash cow.
Yes, as nice as this might be, there is no way these people will leave their cushy salary and pensions behind to go find a job in the real world.
