...and another $2 billion whoopsie last week on the choo-choo train.
Methinks that was something more than forgetting to carry the 4...
All states should have a balanced budget law.
CC
They should be more careful... a billion here and a billion there and pretty soon it adds up to real money.
The law should be if you spend more than you have you’re out of office.
lol. That’s ok. Pantsuit lost 6 billion. The pentagon 2 trillion!!
What the hey...it’s only other people’s money.
“It covers one in three Californians, at a total cost of more than $100 billion annually. About a sixth of the money comes from the state general fund and most of the rest from the federal government.”
Really, you can’t blame Jerry and Co. for considering 1.9 billion as just pretty much peanuts when you consider we Federal taxpayers are paying 83 billion to California for Medicaid for one third of their population.
KCRAAP?
LOL
Well it's holding them more accountable than we do now!

So much for secession talk.
Maybe they should take it out of the legislator’s and governor’s pay?
But a balanced budget law doesn’t solve the problem of whether you balance a budget high or balance it low. California is a high budget but low service state that has allowed its water and road infrastructure to deteriorate and its pensions to be over promised despite huge tax burdens that are mainly shifted onto a mere 170,000 wealthy taxpayers who pay most of the cost of government. So a city of wealthy persons about the size of Santa Rosa, Oceanside or Rancho Cucamonga pay most of the taxes for 39 million other people. That is less than half percent of the population. In California, if the rich don’t get richer the poor get poorer (regardless of the trickle down theory).
Unexpected.
Come on Jerry, crash the bastard! I know you can do it! I want you to succeed in bankrupting this once great state. After all, it will be your fitting epitaph, and the point of departure for kicking out you and your Black MexiRAT Party so we can start the reclamation process!.

And no one will be held accountable other than taxpayers.
“Federal taxpayers are paying 83 billion to California for Medicaid for one third of their population”
